When we got there, we realized that Hotels.com made a mistake and booked us for a one-room king bed with a pullout sofa bed when we booked a two-room suite.
We went down to the front desk to remedy the situation only to find that they had sold out of rooms due to the Beyoncé concert and a sporting event, so we couldn’t be switched to the room we booked.
Avianna at the front desk was very apologetic and offered a partial refund since the room we booked was a higher price than the room we had to stay in. I considered the matter resolved at that point, but she made a point the next day to move us to the room we initially booked if we still wanted it. We declined the offer but appreciate the gesture. Avianna’s customer service is what turned the visit from a 3-star to a 5-star visit. Thank you for making the experience as pleasant as possible, Avianna.
Reasons to book
1. It’s an older hotel, but it’s clean
2. All of the staff are very friendly
3. It’s close to the Galleria Mall and has easy freeway access
4. They have security that monitors the parking lot, and you have to have a key card to get in and out of the parking lot. I felt safe.
5. They offer free breakfast, a 5p meal, and alcoholic beverages if you are on a budget.
