First of all, the NAME of the hotel is NOT Cactus & Cactus! The taxi driver was perplexed when I told him the name and took us to a hotel that doesn't have any signage, later to find out that it's called Los Cactus or known as Cactus. No one was at the desk when we arrived, and we had sent a message several weeks prior with our arrival time. After waiting about 45 minutes, a young lady arrived and checked us in. She was cordial and helpful with info about the island.
The largest bed the hotel offers is a double, and I had requested 2 twins so I could combine to make a king, but that request was not honored. The room was clean, but sparse with furniture, no place to open our suitcase or to store clothing. There was one night stand, one tiny table with 2 chairs, a full size bed, and a tiny refrigerator on the floor. We stayed 4 nights and barely slept due to the neighboring rooster who was nonstop crowing as early as 4am. I even used ear plugs, but the noise from staff talking and singing right outside our door was intolerable. The bathroom provided the necessities, such as hot water, bar soap, 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels, and shampoo. Bring your own hair conditioner and wash cloths, those are not provided. Air conditioning was good! Breakfast was decent, they have instant coffee, bread/toast, freshly made juice, and eggs cooked to order. Not a large breakfast, but enough to start the day off. I wouldn't stay here again mainly because of the NOISE and small bed.
