Property is great. Most of the staff are very nice and helpful. Food is hit or miss. Ignore the sushi stuff it's always hot and humid so eat that at your own risk. Getting the preferred rooms will make the experience so much better. I had some money in my bag in the room and when housekeeping cleaned the room they went thru my bag and took all of the money.

Amazing food

The food was outstanding, truly the best I have ever experienced at an all-inclusive resort. The service was exceptional — we were upgraded and received truly amazing treatment from all the waiters and staff. On the downside, the bed was not comfortable, and the air conditioner was quite noisy. Also, from an eco-friendly perspective, it was disappointing that all drinks were served in plastic cups instead of glass.

The only thing I didn’t like it was the check in process. We were so tired and we got in the property around 2:30 and the check in start at 3pm. We got our room at 4:30pm. I lost that day because of the check in process. Other than that, I was impressed with the people that works there. They had a great attitude and always happy. The food was another surprise. It was really good. Buffet, Italian, French and the Japanese were great. I didn’t try the other places. The beach was a little crazy with the waves, but it was fun for adults and older kids. For a family with small kids, it is great place, because they have a kiddy water park and full water park for older kids and adults. Definitely recommend this hotel and I am coming back for sure.

This was a nice resort, but had a few drawbacks. The rooms were a little worn, the shower had a shower head that did not work and the door leaked into the bathroom so that the floor was wet the entire time. A light was flickering constantly in the bathroom and at night after showering there was a horrible smell of sewage, which I was able to block by putting all our towels over the grate. I had to ask 3 x before getting hand soap for the bathroom. They only gave us 3 towels even thought there were 4 of us. (Little things, but annoying to deal with on vacation) Beds were comfortable and the fridge was stocked with ample water and other beverages. Staff was very friendly. Upon checking in there was a hard sales pitch to join the Hyatt club, and we were told that since we booked through Expedia we were not “preferred status” and we should have booked through Hyatt bc we would have automatically been preferred. Preferred has access to extra pools and amenities, and can also book reservations at the hibachi restaurant. We were told to book reservations there by the front desk but then told they don’t take reservations by the restaurant. Apparently only preferred can do that. Food was generally good although not amazing. The taco truck was amazing and the best food of the week. Overall we had a nice trip but it wasn’t the best all inclusive we’ve been to

The food was underwhelming. Drinks were in small weathered plastic glasses. Restaurants were mostly non-air conditioned. Rooms smelled of mold and were not regularly serviced. Butler was no where to be found and did not respond promptly to requests. I could easily rate my experience a 2, but feel that this would be a punitive score.

We stayed at this resort for a wedding and had previously heard good things. I was not too impressed. I’ll begin with the positives, the entertainment team was excellent. There were plenty of activities all throughout the day to keep both my husband and I plus our two boys busy. There are several pools and beach access was super close. The food was mid, I expected to be more impressed for the price we paid. We ate at Portifino restaurant and service was great. On the other hand we went to El Patio and waited 20 mins for a menu and and hour and half before we received our food. We ate several times at the buffet and some food items were under cooked such as the meat and others were overbooked such as the pasta. The service members were quick and worked diligently to keep guests happy. The communication could be better amongst the staff though. Since we were a party of about 25 rooms for the wedding, we anticipated service should be better. My aunt and uncle waited 4 hours after checkin to get their room and kept being told 10 mins please. They did accommodate us by providing the kids with access to the zip line and arcade which is an additional charge if you’re not staying as a preferred member. The lack of communication was clear. We made the best of it because we were there with family but I would def not be back.

The room was nice and comfortable, the only thing was that in many of the public areas the AC was pretty low I assume so it did get hot fast. The falsities were nice and the staff was very courteous.

Beautiful property with amazingly friendly staff. The property was clean and spacious and we never felt crowded. We stayed in a Villa with our own pool…awesome. It was a good walk from the villa to the beach but we didnt mind due to the beauty of the property. Restaurants were good and we never waited for a table even with a party of 17. I highly recommend Dreams Macao Beach

Do Not Recommend – Disrespectful and Discriminatory Experience Our stay at Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana was awful from start to finish. As an African-American family, we were treated with clear bias. Staff consistently prioritized Caucasian guests — even walking past us multiple times to serve others. It was degrading and unacceptable. $80 was stolen from our room, and instead of addressing it professionally, staff searched our belongings like we were the suspects. Our first room was moldy, hot, and smelled terrible. The bedding and pillows were damp and musty. It took over 3 hours the next day just to get a new room. The food? Horrible — except for the Italian restaurant and iced coffee. This resort has no hospitality, no respect, and no inclusiveness.

The hotel is beautiful, the bad thing is that there isn't much entertainment, they have to improve, the elevator are very small, they don't even fit 4 people, also the breakfast is not variable, we went to the Mexican restaurant and the service and food were terrible, for the price, which is much more expensive than some hotels I have visited, such as the Lopesan, this one is far below
