I would not stay here again.
The check-in experience was awkward and not warm. I think it’s more about the individual personality of the staff member than a true reflection of the overall staff here. Also I find that even with the best intentions some younger people simply haven’t had enough life exposure to develop the well-rounded skills that makes one more polished and dexterous when working with the public. I didn’t know why my ID and payment card needed to be physically handled to verify that the name matched. The front desk person, who appeared to be the only person available, told me some people have presented fake ID’s that fell apart, and apparently, he needed to verify mine wasn’t fake either? I traveled with a child and upon arriving to our room, I noticed we were put in an upper level room at the end of the hall next to the exit stairs. The view pinned us looking at other rooms across from us and downward to look at people lounging at the pool. Not quiet or relaxing. Based on my booking, I thought this was the only room available, but upon speaking with LaDonna, who was very sweet, I learned there were other room options available. This tells me that the room selected by the previous staff person was deliberate. He had a choice of where to place us and that’s what he chose. Outside of this, our stay was better. The 5:30pm Kickback selections were satisfactory. The saving grace of the evening was the kindness and sweet personality of the bartender. She was charismatic and very hospitable.
