Amazing, bustling location. Steps away from all of Puerto Rico's history. Apartment didn't feel incredibly clean. Older building charm though. Kitchen had dishes but no sponge. Would probably make more sense to have two full size beds in bedroom ( instead of twins) than have futon in middle of living room to make space for 6. Owner was responsive when had needs!

Very good place to say. Good location. Spacious Room. Well secured. The only thing is music from neighbor bars until 2:00 AM. I would stay again only if no noise.

Check in was so easy and the host was friendly and helpful. Our room was so beautiful and the location was perfect, such a great experience for our first time in PR. I definitely recommend this place if you plan to stay in old San Juan.

Perfect downtown location. Balconies condo was beautiful, loved opening up the doors to look down at the bustling street. You can see the square and part of the fort right from the balcony. It is noisy, but I just ran white noise machine and had no issues sleeping. Highly recommend.

Nice apartment with two balconies that open up onto a bustling street. Close by to everything including some good restaurants. Only downside is the very loud music coming from the neighboring bar that continued until midnight on Sunday. Fortunately they closed much earlier on Monday night so we had a more restful evening.

We were very happy in this guest house. Our vintage suite was very comfortable with cute vintage decor. We were centrally located and greatly enjoyed wandering streets of Old San Juan. We were able to self check in/out.

Large and airy room on second floor of an old building in the center of Old San Juan. Great (secure) location for walking the city. Refrigerator, microwave, and sink for minor cooking. Two very big doors open to small balconies overlooking the street. Quiet at night with the air condition on. Highly recommended for those who like quirky accommodations.

I had a pleasant stay at Casa of Essence. There were a few things I wasn't expecting... No hot water in the bathroom sink or the kitchen. The shower was lukewarm water. The tile floors had a shellac on them that was peeling off everywhere so I couldn't walk barefoot anywhere in the suite. The staff was nice...I just feel these issues should have been noted by Expedia

Excellent location in old San Juan. Easily walkable to several landmarks and a ton of restaurants and shopping stores. Additionally, the shuttle does pass around the area. Post was kind enough to let us store our luggage while we looked around the town. The only thing I wish that was in the unit Was an exhaust system to help with humidity control.

Such a lovely room right in the middle of all of the cafes, restaurants, and beautiful views. We especially appreciated the dehumidifier! I got quick response whenever I had a question and the site manager was very nice. I loved being able to take a night stroll and just walk back to the room instead of taking an Uber. There is a window that lets in light from the hall which isn’t a big deal if you don’t mind but you might want to be aware that it will not be pitch black at night if light bothers you. There are also birds across the hall that chirp rather loudly in the early morning. My partner and I didn’t have a problem with this but again, it might be something to consider if you are sensitive to noises in the morning. Since the room has no outside light, we appreciated the light coming in through the hall and we like the sounds of birdsong so we had a good time.

We loved this property. It has a great location. It is very clean and close to restaurants and other attractions. The owners were friendly and made us feel home.
