10/10 Exceptional

The family room was excellent — very spacious and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better, right above the metro station and surrounded by convenience. There’s a 7-Eleven, Starbucks, and other shops just downstairs, as well as a shopping mall with a Uniqlo.

10/10 Exceptional

Family friendly accommodation. Near to all the food areas ,close to train station for easy transportation. The apartment itself is spacious enough for family of 4 , with 1 separate rooms, a laundry washer and a drying area. In our 5 night stay we never had a problem using the washer . Though there is a kitchen ,we opt to eat around the area , tremendous food den to choose from . It was a wonderful stay .Easy check in and check out too.

Nice but small

Nice room, clean, good facilities and close to centre of Tokyo but room was too small for 2 adults and 9 year old child with 3 suitcases.

What a lovely property the Kario Sasazuka Terrace is, you will not be disappointed with the price, quality, and convenience to Keio train lines. We would most definitely stay there again.

After 5 days/4 nights at the property, here are my families impressions: Pros - location, shopping/food, and transportation are all excellent. The area in Sasazuka is within 30 minutes of almost all the major travel hubs and tourist areas of West/Central Tokyo. You can get to Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya easily. The area itself is slightly more Business focused but was quiet in the evening and had plenty of options for food and shopping around. We visited the several konbini in the immediate vicinity and also shopped at the 100 Yen store and a few other stores as well, all within waking distance. The food options as mentioned are good, and the area can cater to the needs of a single stay, couple, or small family with ease. The train station for Sasazuka is right across the street and serves the Keio and Keio New Line trains from which you can catch a ride anywhere. Despite this, it was easy to get a good night's rest because the street noise is minimal after hours. The beds and bathroom were clean and more than sufficient for my family of 4 and my wife and I even had o

Excellent location right off a train stop. Property was clean. WiFi in rooms was a little slow. Downside is early 10a check out, but can pay an extra fee for a later check out. Property also doesn’t hold your luggage after checking out. So long as that info is provided to you, you’ll know what to expect.

The location couldn’t be better. Right in front of Sasazuka station, connecting many popular destinations by easy train rides. Restaurants and grocery stores literally within a minute.

What a gem we found! This hotel is located in such a convenient spot— with shops, restaurants and metro right underneath. The metro is in front of the hotel but you don’t notice the noise at all. The apartment is quiet and clean. It literally has access to everything you want. We loved it.

Nice accommodations

Our family of four stayed in the quad room, which worked perfectly for us, giving us somewhat privacy from our 2 adult sons. My husband and I stayed in the room with the queen bed while our 2 sons used the 2 twin beds that was in the room with the living area/kitchenette. Want to point out that most of the outlets are 2 prong. Was able to find a 3 prong outlet where the washer is, which was what I used for my travel size multi outlet power strip. They gave us 2 keys. With the four of us, I would have preferred an electronic keypad like we used at our other hotel in Kyoto, so we can access the room independantly. The place was clean and simple. It met our needs. Very close to the subway station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Would stay here again.

This hotel was great! The entrance was really small, and I wasn't expecting much when I checked in...but I was pleasantly surprised that the room was huge! It was two bedrooms at a very decent price. It had a full washing machine, and the kitchen had lots of plates and glasses if we wanted to eat in. The location was really good. It was right next to the train station (don't worry about noise--we could hardly hear the trains at night), and it's within walking distance from everything we needed. This was an apartment-style accommodation. I don't think the front desk is staffed all the time, but the staff was really helpful when I needed to arrange takkyuubin to send my luggage (sent from Lawson, which is right next door).

8/10 Very good

The property is directly above a subway samtation so if you are sensitive to noises you will hear the train stopping by at night. The Sasazuka station is only in one metro line (Keio line) so you will likely have to take this line to Shinjuku for transferring to all major sites. It is one long stop by express trains or 3 stops by local trains to the Shinjuku station, which is a huge transit hub and could be confusing to navigate for transfers. The rooms are clean but the ACs don't work very well. There is a Lawson downstairs and a few restaurants nearby. Overall good value for families that need to find more than one room (if you can tolerate the noise).

No service at all

We waited 25 minutes to check in. The staff only showed up at strict 3pm and no other ways we can contact them. One couples told us they were already there for 30mins before we arrived. After the staff arrived, the couples had some issues with the payment method so it took so long for them to check in and we could just wait... Other than that the hotel room was fine. But because of that experience we were not dare to store our luggage at the front desk because we were afraid that we could not find anybody when we needed the luggage back.
3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This is a great property to stay at if you are looking for more space. It is more like an apartment rather than a hotel, so there is a kitchen for the 4 of us (2 adults 2 kids) to cook. There are multiple markets just a couple minutes walk so it is super convenient. The train station is just one minute away. Because the train station is so close, there is some noise, but this did not bother us because we were so tired by night and just slept through anyway. This is a great place to stay to have a touch of what Japanese living is like. If you are a tall person, your head might be touching the top of the door. My husband is 185 cm and he bumped his head a few times. The front desk is not always attended, which makes it a little tricky checking in/out. Staffs are not well verse in English, so we communicated to the best of our ability using translation app. They are very helpful though. We shipped our luggage using Airporter to the hotel and they stored it for us. By the time we checked out, we left the luggage with them for Airporter to pick up to ship to our next Japan hotel. Overall, a fantastic experience. We will stay here again.

Good location

Sofa turns into small bed, uncomfortable, hard mattress good for small child. When sofa bed is extended, cannot open closet, which would be used for suitcases, and hanging clothes.so access is blocked. Unless you slide the bed to sofa position every morning. Inconvenient for us. 2 adults and a 16 year old. Place is very clean. Very nice shower but tub is deep and very short in length.fyi. A note is, you can hear the trains but they didnt bother our sleep. Perfect for 2 people. Kichen is compact and good. Decent size fridge. Washer works very well, Japanese instructions so a guess on settings but did the job. It said washer and dryer, but dryer is a hanging unit with rows of clothes pins, so air dry. Worked ok. Overall it was ok, better if only 2 people. They will pick up garbage every day if left outside the door. Great location. Sasazuka station right there. Lots of restaurants and grocery places right outside.
Roger, 8-night trip

2/10 Poor

Terrible

First impression was alright until we opened the door to the washing area and bathroom. The smell of mould was overwhelming. Shortly after, we noticed two lines of badly smelling and sticky spots on the floor by the couch. The spots could be removed though. We went to the reception to tell then about the mould smell, but they couldn't do anything about it. After we had baths the next morning, the mould smell got worse. They did an extra cleaning of the bathroom, but it didn't help at all. Two of us woke up with bad headaches, one with symptomes like a cold and one with irritated eyes. We contacted hotels.com, and they did a lot to help us, but the hotel wouldn't grant us any refunds. Mould is not healthy for anyone, so we decided to find another hotel for the remaining nights, which cost us a whole lot of extra money. Some hours after we've left, the symptoms were gone, so it was worth it.
