This was truly the worst experience. I’m an IHG member and I tried to step out of my comfort zone and try this hotel. Horrible decision. I checked in, went to the room, smelled AWFUL. Like straight sewer. I went down to the front desk, myself and 2 other guests were waiting for over 15 minutes for the front desk employee to show up. She switched my room on the other side of the building, SAME AWFUL SMELL. I went down and asked her if there’s some kind of sewage issue and she said a couple other guests complained but she’s hoping it “just goes away”. I was tired and not trying to keep switching rooms so I sat in the horrible smell all night long. Near the toilet was the worst. Went to take a shower, the body wash was completely empty. I was so angry.
Then this morning I had just checked out. Went to the car and dropped my belongings and realized I didn’t have my car keys and I left them in the room on the dresser. I ran back in and asked the front desk attendant if I could get back in my room to grab my key. She refused to let me back in without my ID which was allllll the way in the parking garage even though she just seen me check out. She could have even offered to just go in and grab the key for me but she made me walk back out to my car to get my ID. I’m just baffled that I spent almost $200 on a room to experience all of this. I am not the type to complain but this was a horrible experience and I will never go back to or recommend a Hilton hotel.
