Stay away
This started off as a refreshingly nice stay. I arrived and was taken care of by the front desk staff. I arrived a couple hours earlier than expected but they were very accommodating.
Went into my room. It was clean and smelled fresh. I put my things away and I got comfortable. My interactions during my stay were very minimal to begin with.
Then I started noticing things. I am a people watcher. I would notice how a front desk staff would speak to me and treat me different than most of her guest. The hotel staff would regularly suspiciously sneak into my room even with (2) do not disturb signs on my door. They claim they missed it.
I thought to myself. There’s no way she treats me different than the regular guest here because I too am not like them, white. Left it alone.
Fast forward to a 5th extension to my stay. All paid for with no issues. This one declined by my bank for fraud. The hotel ordered their staff to wake me from my sleep & demand I pay in 5 minutes or be removed. Mind you I recently had surgery.
I got up too quickly and began bleeding internally. I was able to stop the bleeding. A quick call to the bank resolved their $180 temporary hold issue. $180 got me to bleed. Let them show you the $5k in receipts I spent the rest of my stay no declines and no issues. But I’m sure not being white had anything to do with it.
