I contacted the front desk after midnight on the night I checked in. I didn't check in till probably around 10:40 PM.
Getting into my room. I decided to take a shower, I realized there was no hot water. The faucet on my shower turned a complete 360°. Not a good sign. I contacted the front desk and they informed me that no one was on maintenance at that time. I hung up and then called back again and was offered a room four floors down to either use just a shower or to move to. I did not want to move four floors away at almost 1 AM in the morning. I also did not want to travel four floors just to shower. So, I declined. Maybe it was stupid of me, but I assumed that later that day they would send someone to fix the shower and make it so I did not have to shower elsewhere to receive hot water. This did not happen. I came back and it was the same thing. I decided not to push the issue, so I did not shower for two days. There was plenty of hot water out of the faucet of the sink in the bathroom, so I used that to sponge myself. I would have raised more of an issue if I would have been paying for it on my own, but my company covered this trip. I still don't think it's fair for them to pay this amount of money for a room that had no ability for me to shower. I will be coming back multiple times to Rochester for business, this is not where I will be staying.
