We stayed for only 2 nights at this hotel on a family trip. The location is terrific and is an easy walk to many of the best sights in Amsterdam. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was good. There are some renovations happening in the lobby area and the room we were in did not have a nice view (#210), otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Great location and a really comfortable stay
We chose the Marriott based on it overall reputation and location as a family of 4 sharing a family room. Location was perfect and the majority of places we wanted to visit during were walkable which was ideal. We only had breakfast once and there was lots of choice for everyone, however we did think it was a little on the expensive side, so chose to eat out the rest of our break which did work out cheaper. Room was really spacious considering there was 4 of us - 2 children aged 11 and 17 and the beds were lovely and comfortable and we all slept well. No noise issue's either with others stsying in the hotel in nearby rooms. One thing to note is that a security deposit will be held against your card at €100 per night, however this was quickly released following check out. Would definitely recommend and return again.

The hotel rooms are small but clean. The hotel itself is nice, but situated at a major intersection and on a tram line. Therefore, it is VERY noisy and hard to tune out the street sounds. There are better options down closer to Moco where you can stay at a boutique hotel for far less.

Location is perfect and garage to park your car is available at the hotel or one street behind the hotel. Rooms are a little bit outdated and the bathroom is not that big and modern. Shower, in bath, is very small. Value for money is not in balance; quite expensive. Personal and service is good. Breakfast buffet is nice.

I am always impressed by the professionalism, kindness and attentiveness of the staff at this hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the tram to Central Station and the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gough museums. Lovely restaurants with outdoor, people-watching sitting areas are within the vicinity of the hotel.
