Gopalan has a lovely location with views out over rice fields. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, but there were small gaps between walls and door frames/ windows whicj some might find disconcerting - rustic charm is more accurate. There's a bit of a water shortage in the area at the moment, though I dont think the locals want to mention it but we had to contact reception twice to let them know we had no water. It was sorted quickly, but perhaps be aware and moderate your water use. The staff were friendly, the food was good - breakfast was fine and we had dinner there a couple of times; good food and reasonably priced . They were very good at arranging some trips and at similar or cheaper to ones advertised locally.
