6/10 Good

Average rooms that need some updating/refurbishing. Tired looking decor. Great service from all staff - friendly and approachable. Good location for stop off point straight off the motorway.
Sam, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very convenient location, quiet, friendly and considerate staff, cosy old world pub atmosphere, adequate room facilities and plenty of room space. Excellent evening meal. Perhaps a little sprucing up needed but without modernising

decent budget hotel. Nothing fancy and decent value for money. Staff helpful. Accomodation/bathroom a little dated but overall just fine.

Business Stay

Service was good. Bed was comfy. The road that passes hotel is busy & noisy - woke me early in the morning. The food & hotel was good value. Room needs a bit of TLC.

Nice enough

Nice enough. Shame about traveller clientele but served the purpose for 1 night overnight work stay.

A lovely property with a nice spacious room and friendly staff. My daughter has additional needs and she warmed to the room straight away which was a relief. We have already booked to stay again in Nov ready to visit crealy again:)
Samantha, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Shower cubicle was dirty and had dirt and dust marks all the way round. Not very much shower gel, family of 3 and only given x1 hand towel and x1 bath towel, 2 cups and 2 glasses. The noise from the room above was horrendous, the foot steps vibrated right through.

Great comfortable stay and staff so friendly.

Hotel was great. Staff so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately hotels. Com didn’t tell us there is no night porter at this hotel and hotels. Com were aware of this. Luckily I leased directly with hotel to sort which they were so helpful with.

Little gem - Waterloo Cross

Had a fabulous 2 night stay, spotlessly clean & cosy room with the biggest, comfiest bed weve ever had .. most amazing sleep! Tea, coffee & biscuits all provided & beautiful white fluffy towels! Big bathroom with waterfall shower. Lovely atmosphere in bar area, gorgeous food and the warmest welcome from Val & her team. Cant wait to go back next summer.
Lisa, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Liked all of it except no tv remote and asked staff and eas told it had probably been laundered, so no TV Also could feel the split in the bed.
Geoffrey, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Was lovely room but dusty in places lovely big bed but only 2 teabags would have liked more in room at time of arrival

10/10 Exceptional

Great place to stay very reasonable price wise, if you don’t have your own transport it’s not the best for access to taxi’s etc but that’s not the fault of the venue just the remote location. There is a train station 10 mins drive away but not easy to access by foot.
Tim, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I chose this hotel for its location to the motorway plus the good reviews it had received hence why I am writing this. Firstly checking in was easy I was greeted with a pleasant welcome and shown to my room. Returned to the bar to order dinner. I asked for recommendation and was told the steak was good. It did not disappoint. Excellently cooked I even gave my compliments personally to the chef. Desert well I went for the apple crumble and it was amazing. So an excellent meal, great staff and a good nights sleep what more could you want.
