Not bad, but not great.
I was disappointed with this hotel. The breakfast was a bare minimum, hardly a buffet. I dined in the restaurant Botanico for dinner and i found it expensive and not that good. The hotel is also a bit hidden from the center of town. In their defense, it appears the hotel is not finished. The elevator wasn’t working and there was plenty of construction going on. I am not usually a complainer, but I won’t stay here on my next trip to Valdivia.

Expedia lies again! This is a nice clean property with nice sized rooms, wide hallways and wooded area surrounding property and plenty of free parking. No business center, bellman,or concierge. This is a solid 3 star hotel and it is fine. Why Expedia overrates this hotel is very misleading. Nicest part is the checkin desk has young university staff attending hotel mgmt school and actual try to help guests. Very refreshing!

Beautiful property and view. Staff was so helpful and front staff even helped me print something I needed. There was a broken light in our room that they tried to fix but couldn’t. Staff was very prompt and explained they would fix it the next day after trying for about 20 minutes. Our adult kids loved the outdoor hot tub.

Since the change in administration I love this hotel Puerta del Sur. Friendly and respectful staff, good amenities, amazing views of the river and Cau-cau bridge. Good breakfast. No spiders and mosquitoes as it was in the past. I fully recommend this one special when you book thru Expedia, much cheaper than by the front desk.

En general muy bien, carta muy acotada.
Buena estadía, limpia las instalaciones y bien mantenidas. Amplia variedad en el desayuno buffet, pero lo que creo que se debe mejorar es la carta para almorzar y cenar que es muy acotada.

Un peu à l’écart de la ville, sur un site tranquille. Tout de même accessible à pied (restaurants à <10 min à pied). Les chambres étaient propres et confortables. Le personnel courtois. Des jeux sont disponibles pour jouer en famille, la piscine et le quai sont magnifiques. Nous recommandons chaudement.

Clean hotel and well located But during our stay, an electricity shutfown occurs from 20:00 hrs until 12:00 am next day. So I expected some courtesy from the hotel (discount or bonus for the next stay),but nothing of that happens.

Excelente hotel, muy linda vista y buenas y espaciosas habitaciones, todos/as muy amables. Solo tuvimos un inconveniente, porque se celebraba una fiesta de matrimonio y no nos habían avisado antes. Nos cambiaron a una habitación más lejana y terminó no tan tarde, pero aconsejo preguntar antes.

Retrasos en el check in
Cuando llegamos al check a las 15:00 como pide el hotel no tenían la habitación lista y nos pedían esperar dos horas … de insistir después de 40 minutos esperando en recepción sin ninguna explicación por parte del servicio nos dieron otra habitación no la que se pagó con antelación . En otra instancia solicitamos al personal un té y nos dijeron que no tienen servicio de restaurante cuando ofrecen desayunos.

Showed up a little early and the clerk had already our room available for us. Very clean and quiet, I really love this place, the view is spectacular. Best breakfast ever with fresh bread, and pastries. Staff very friendly. Definitely I'll come back.
