I had only spent one night in this property on a one-day trip to Scarborough. I was disappointed that my single room was facing the street rather then the North Sea; my private bathroom was also separate from my room, which was a bit inconvenient - but it had an excellent beach view. I struggled a bit with door lock too. However I had a sink in my room, I had access to an electric kettle, cups, coffee/tea/bottled water and towels/soap (no toiletries though) and it was pleasantly quiet in the building. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, with more conveniences I had opportunity to use. I appreciated really hot radiator in the evening after a long walk battling chilly wind and intermittent rain. Check-in was quite smooth and communication was relevant. The area is attractive to walk about if weather permits, there is even a small cinema and a pub within short walking distance. It was fascinating to contemplate this seaside town only just waking up from a winter hibernation. Despite challenging weather, I had pleasant time, especially in the Scarborough castle and beach areas. Overall, I was quite satisfied with this property and I would recommend it for a short, no frills stay, even out of season.
