Fun, but very expensive for what it was.
Knowing what to expect is important, because we didn’t. The high cost per night suggests luxury (we paid £320), it isn’t. It’s camping in a unique tent. We picked the Bubble for Northern Lights spotting, thinking the location was in the middle of nowhere but there are two industrial size greenhouses, one within two miles that gives off a lot of yellow light into the sky causing extreme light pollution making it harder to see them. If it rains, the noise on the plastic container is very loud and of course, any middle of the night toilet breaks involves walking through that rain. At sunrise everyone tried to leave at the same time so there was a large queue for the two toilets / shower rooms in the out-house. Having said that the concept is cute and quirky and despite a bar’s night’s sleep we enjoyed the experience of waking up in the woods. If the price had been closer to £100 a night then we would have had the right mindset. Cool if it works out with the northern lights and sleep, no worries if it didn’t. As it stands it didn’t work out and we’re left feeling sensitive at how much we spent to do it.
With cloud cover that’s the light pollution you’re seeing.
A clearer sky has less light pollution but it’s not gone.
The cute if not slightly awkward service when there’s a queue building.

This was an amazing experience! I was a little skeptical because of other reviews, but we did not encounter any of the issues others have had. Check-in was very easy, our Bubble was clean and the bed was comfy and warm. The bed got so hot from the blanket warmer that we had to turn it down. We were lucky enough to stay on a clear night and were able to enjoy the northern lights from our bed inside the bubble! This is an experience that we’ll never forget!!

Bed was two unmatched twins that were pushed together. The beds had heating pads that were hard to control. We had to turn them off completely.

The bubbles aren’t far enough apart, you can see into other bubbles. The amenities are not what you’d expect for the price you pay - equivalent to that of a school camp. Bad showers, old, bad water pressure, only two showers on site. The zipping in and out of the bubble is loud, particularly as you’re so close to everyone. Sheets are paper thin on the bed. Bubble isn’t overly clean so if you’re trying to shoot the sky from within, it’s not great. All up a really disappointing experience.

Awesome concept, poor oversight. Bad communication upfront and during stay. Tried to contact ahead of time to no avail. No person on site to meet you. Very frustrating trying to get WiFi to work. Didn't know which unit was mine unless I called in, which is expensive for an international phone call
