much more close to 5 star compare to other hotels
very nice hotel, room is large and good view, bed is large, buffet is quite exceed my expectation, variable and good taste. you can book the tour in the hall near reception and there will be bus coming to hotel to pick you up, even the bus is from other cities... for example the bus take other guests from capital/carmen/costa tagisse will come to the hotel to take you...it make me feel sorry that we are the last guests and waste other guest's time. :) during the 4 days stay I also get chance to have a look at other 5 or 4 star hotel on the island, but I think this is the most beautiful one. swimming pool and beach and sand, what can I see, if you drive a car, this is one of the best choice than living in cities. if you do not drive, you need to take taxi and it is not so easy to take bus here. disadvantage/waek point: Really bad wifi. free wifi is only for web access(Port 80 and speed XX Kb) and signal is bad. if you want to have a quiet holiday, it is ok, but if you want to check email or something else, better to buy an orange sim card for data.

An idyllic anniversary holiday
We stayed at Secrets for 5 nights and had the most amazing time. The welcome we received on arrival was attentive, warm & relaxed. Our room was so much better than we’d anticipated - spacious, clean, view to die for. The hotel gifted us a bottle of champagne & some chocolates in our room as we were there to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was relaxed, clean & easy to navigate. We also had a massage in the spa whilst there and it was one of the best massages either of us had ever experienced. We found ourselves saying multiple times during our trip ‘I’d happily come back here’. We only had a couple issues during our stay. 1. The service we experienced at the Barefoot Grill was not up to the same standard as service across the rest of the hotel. We were standing waiting for a table for 5 minutes without any recognition from the servers that they were aware of us waiting. Then it took a further 5-10 mins to get menus once we were sat down. 2. There was a couple of days where our room wasn’t restocked with water after housekeeping and dirty glasses were left in our room after housekeeping had been. But, the size of those issues (insignificant in relation to the rest of the holiday) shows how hard it was to find fault with the holiday. Thanks to the Secrets Lanzarote team for making our anniversary trip a special one!

On the whole an enjoyable trip. Cleanliness and service very good . Room comfortable ,well positioned, but a long walk with nearest lift out of action. Suroundings/gardens pleasent , too many steps and some surfaces rough uneven/cracked, not easy for disable/wheelchair users. Un "todo incluido" a precio de cinco estrellas. El hotel en general es espectacular. Aunque debe ser complicado mantener unas instalaciones tan grandes en un estado óptimo y eso se nota en algunos detalles en los que el paso del tiempo ha hecho mella, como algunos pasillos, jardines o ascensores. La habitación muy grande, con una cama alucinante más ancha que larga. Los amenities correctos. Lo peor sin duda es la calidad de la comida. En el desayuno cuesta elegir. Sí, hay de todo pero de una calidad bastante regular. La bollería se lleva la palma, incomible. Mi recomendación, menos y mejor. Una buena selección. Incluso el restaurante grill, cuya carne está bastante bien, tiene ese toque de calidad media (el pan por ejemplo es terrible). Es una pena, parece que está diseñado para echarte de comer, más que para ofrecerte algo rico, sabroso, exclusivo. Los estragos quizá de estar destinado a un turismo de masas extranjero. El SPA está muy bien, aunque pagamos el bono de todos los días y no pudimos disfrutarlo. El último día de nuestra estancia estaba cerrado. Pregunté por un reembolso pero no me lo aceptaron. A cambio nos dejaron "late check-out" sin coste. El personal en general encantador y pudimos disfrutar de alguna sorpresa en la habitación. Resumiendo, esperaba una experiencia más personal, con una gastronomía más cuidada. La experiencia en general es buena pero si quieres algo más exquisito tendrás que buscar otro sitio.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely room. Had a bit of a problem with the food quality and made a complaint. To be fair to the hotel they did all they could to accommodate us and gave us a complimentary meal and a gift. They appreciated the feedback and if they get the food right this hotel could be outstanding. Staff a very friendly and would stay here again.

Pool facilities and the prefered lounge great...though tables for food in need of proper repair or replacement...unstable and loose screws seen. Loose tiling around resort, coykd cause trip or slip hazards for older or disabled guests. Loose banisters on stairs..falling hazard Water dripping from ceiling near pool table mezzanine...a slip hazard..even with foldable sign there! Cracks in walls with lime mortar..removed. Poor lighting on sensors near pool stairs so could cause trip or fall incident ay night?

Hotel is stunning, the rooms, pools and grounds are all beautiful and very clean. The staff were very helpful. Particularly a worker named Kone who always welcomed you with a smile and went above and beyond to make your stay exceptional. There are a few restaurants a short walk away at the marina or you can get a short taxi to Puerto del Carmen which has plenty of bars and restaurants. The only downside is that you have to be up early in order to get a sun bed and the food at the buffet and the pool bar were very expensive for the quality of the food. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay

This was our third stay at this property. First time since it became Secrets Lanzarote. Some changes meant we couldn’t use all the pools however the three we could use were ideal. Staff were just delightful. Food was varied and always delicious. An absolute joy of a stay. Would highly recommend!

We stayed for 13 days at this location and wouldnt call it luxury at all. We purchased a Preferred Club all inclusive package because of previous experiences with the brand in Dominican and Mexico and were quickly disappointed. The hotel is beautifully designed and in a great location but getting tired and needs a refresh. Our room had cockroaches and we also saw them in hallways and the spa, so were wondering what goes on in the kitchen. We could never get loungers by any of the pools including the one at Preferred Club so we gave up. The cafe for Preferred Club has less options than Coco Cafe. The Preferred Club restaurants are really subpar compared to other locations and the service is really poor so we ended up using the buffet instead or eating out. Our complaints to Customer Experience met with indifference (eg Lanzarote has cockroaches, or when we asked why the server wasn't refilling my husband's wine they said they had other work to do). We don't recommend this hotel if you want a 5 star experience.

It’s a dream come true !!! Firstly the dining option is amazing!!! My favourite was the world class restaurant!!! The chefs in there are the best !!! Wide food options and good quality food and drinks!! The Piano bar is the most exciting!!! Enjoyed live music and entertainment!!! I love it

I surprised my girlfriend for her 21st birthday here and the hotel staff were a great help providing a great experience for us and the hotel itself had everything to offer and the food was great too. No complains and all questions we had were answered with no misunderstandings. Will be back again

I’ve been here before a couple years ago and loved it. So decided to go again to celebrate our mini moon and we had the worst experience ever. Some of the staff need re-training on customer service as this is the biggest factor for our holiday being ruined!

Lovely hotel but lacking attention to detail
The hotel on arrival was beautiful. The rooms were fabulous very comfy spacious and excellent shower. The breakfast was lovely with great options. The pool area was beautiful and very clean. Where this hotel fails is the pool bar the food and coctails are far from 5 star. My lunch on the first day was uneatable the waiter took a full plate back and never asked why it hadnt been touch. The pool temperature in main area was freezing and I mean freezing. We brought this to their attentions and they did offer us the preferred club for our two final days. This is the biggest problem i have with the hotel why is there such a divide, does every customer not deserve a warm pool to be able to swim in daily. We all paid a lot of money to be there. They definitely need to hire a mixologist to train their staff at 10- 12 euro per coctail they should be drinkable. Overall this hotel has potential to be fabulous but its lacking attension to detail that are important to customers.
