the hotel is near to downtown, which is good. the lobby is in a mess as they are re-decorating. room is smelly. lamps are with dust. quilt and pillow are clean fortunately. breakfast need to be picked by yourself and take it back to room. the breakfast lady was very nice and friendly. However this is not the case with the receptionist. I stand right in front of her for over 30 seconds. She just pretend not seeing me and keep playing her phone. and all of sudden, start talking and proceeding for check in procedures.... very wired.

A few issues
Have been to this hotel a few times. Always enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately, this time… had issues with my rooms. First room I was assigned, the fridge did not work and I had medication that needed to be refrigerated. 2nd room- microwave did not work properly , the drawers on the TV did not stay closed, towel rack by bathroom sink was coming out of the wall. A little disappointed with this stay.

Spent the night before getting on a cruise. The room was ok for what we needed. Only 2 towels that were a bit flimsy. Slight moldy/musty smell. The shower was lovely.

Let us sleep comfortably
This hotel was conveniently located near family for Thanksgiving. The outside was nice & clean, & we were greeted by a friendly front desk clerk. The room was clean, but we could smell a slightly musty smell from the carpet, as if the carpet has been steam cleaned but not dried properly. The ice maker on our floor didn't work, so I had to go find a working one on another floor. Another downside is the shower's water pressure was so low. Breakfast was good, & the dining area was clean & fully stocked. Lastly, the cleaning crew were very loud early each morning. Both mornings we could hear them talking & laughing loudly before 8:00 a.m. I have to get up very early when I'm home for work, so I love to sleep in when I'm on vacation.

Would not stay here again
the sheets and towels did not smell fresh at all, they almost smelled of urine. we asked the front desk for new linens and they said it was “just the smell of the detergent”. The smoke alarm was also ripped out from the wall.

Smells damp
The people service is top notch! I would love to interact with every staff member again. But this is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and it smells sort of damp, and the humidity is so high the linens feels damp.

Great!
Thanks to Vaugh we had a great check in even if it was in the middle of the night. He gave ya great advices about the tours and the city. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is very enough. The hotel is 15 minutes to the city center and 20 minutes to swamp tours. Perfect and quiet location.
