Our room was on the first floor. It was a hot day but none of the windows had window restrictions, so I had to keep them shut, especially the one that was in my girls’ bedroom right next to a side walk. Also there was a smoky window across one wall that was about my waist to shoulder height in the bathroom. I didn’t feel comfortable taking a shower with the light on at night. The bathroom was also next to the side walk.(there is a fence but there is a big gap for anyone to walk in right up to the window.) The window needs a blind or a small curtain. Probably,, Alexandra is a safe town and I don’t need to worry about any one breaking in or peeping, but as a visitor, I was so uncomfortable.
The shower only had curtains to separate from the sink and toilet, which was fine but the drainage was in the middle of the bathroom, not under the shower, nor angled. It made wider area of the bathroom wet. After my shower I had to clean up for others to use toilet and sink…. I was so bothered by it because we had a long drive that day.
I stayed at many hotels in New Zealand. I was ok with most of them but I had too many problem with this one. I will never go back.
