Very pleasant stay. Staff helpful and pleasant, location couldn’t be better. Rooms clean. Only minus is you have to leave your room to make your coffee. Will definitely come back.

The key redeeming factor is location. You really are in the heart of it. However, you are also crammed into a tiny bedroom with hardly any room to walk around the foot of the bed, framed - quite literally - by Picasso's Guernica nightmare scene. Not very soothing! It's also pretty noisy at night - so best you join the party (we did)! There's also no parking - but that's fair enough - they never said they would be. Expect to pay another Eu20/day for that and ready yourself for the 1/2 km walk with luggage.

Es ist bis tief in die Nacht ein laut- laut- laut- starkes Spektakel auf den Straßen und zwar jeden Abend/ Nacht. Und da die Gassen schmal sind, schallt es lauthals in die Zimmer. Schlafen muss man dann zu Hause.

One step up from a hostel
The main reason for my poor rating is the bed sheets. They were so rough it felt like I was lying on sand paper. I finally took them off the bed and slept wrapped in the duvet. Bilbao is damp, and the hotel didn’t was dehumidifiers. I’d wake in the morning to a room where everything was wet. So wet I thought the roof must be leaking. There is limited reception staff (no problem), but I was there 2 days before I saw anyone who worked there, and could ask for sheets that might be a bit softer. The answer was “no!”.

This quirky little pension in Bilbao's old town was only a 10-minute walk from the the main railway station and less than five from the nearest bus stop. But be prepared for walking up the 2 flights of stairs to the pension entrance. No double glazing, so sounds from outside carry - light sleepers should come equipped with earplugs. The pension is on a relatively quiet street with the nearest bar some 50 metres away. But the bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom (walk-in shower, not a bath) a good size and well equipped, efficient reception staff and an overall friendly vibe, with plenty of places to eat and drink close by. I'd happily stay there again, the next time I'm in Bilbao.

Semplicemente unico!
Boutique Hotel spettacolare, direttamente nella città vecchia di Bilbao, ideale per scoprire tutto quanto a piedi. Appena rinnovato, ha accogliente zona relax all’ingresso e la camera familiare dove abbiamo soggiornato era spaziosa e dotata di tutti i confort. Ogni camera è arredata con design differente, unico nel suo genere. Lo staff gentilissimo ci ha proprio fatto sentire come a casa, disponibilissimi anche a suggerire cosa visitare in base alle nostre esigenze! Assolutamente consigliato!
