Beautiful property in a very nice and convenient location. Steps away from M street on one side and the Potomac on the other. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Only thing to take into account is that the rooms (at least the standard room we stayed at) are very small and with very little natural light. This was not a problem for us, but it might be for someone that would like, for example, to work in the room.

Overall the stay was decent. The location is great and I like that it wasn’t crowded at all in the hallways and elevators. The room was okay. Very small space and the television was mounted in an awkward position. The shower door makes a ton of noise to open and close it and actually woke me up when my husband was in the shower. The windows were nice but very drafty in my room. The heat stopped working properly on the second night and when I woke up the temperature in the room got down to 63 degrees. An engineer did come quickly to assess the heat but by the time it may have warmed up we were checking out. The hotel was clean and wasn’t too bad but I will pick another property when I come back to stay in Georgetown.

Great Georgetown stay
Beautiful brand new hotel with great modern amenities. Charging ports of all sizes. Great bathroom with good counter space. Comfortable bed. And very quiet. We ate in the restaurant. The Wagyu beef sliders were delicious. Excellent location and very walkable.

Location, Location, Location
The rooms are really small. Your king bed is all that fits. Not much room to move. No balcony on most rooms. Not much ventilation.
However, we loved the location.

Stayed at Canal House of Georgetown. New property, only 3 months old. Room was excellent. Beautiful, new, well organized. Very convenient for graduation activities for Georgetown University. Bustling area with lots of restaurants and shops. Staff very friendly and helpful. Though I didn’t require such services, staff multilingual. Would return for a visit

I really liked my room. Compact space but didn't feel small. Beautifully decorated/designed. Had a king-size bed, 2 end tables, Keurig, small fridge, small chair for a desk space for a laptop, and huge TV that didn't feel overpowering for the space. Also, there was an open closet and large mirror. I particularly liked the iphone charging ledge. Bathroom was spacious. Had any of the furniture pieces been larger or ill-fitting, the room would have felt very small, but everything fit well together and created an upscale vibe. Breakfast is additional cost, buffet being $22 and other menu options. Valet parking is additional cost, too ($55 overnight+$10tax=$65, 1-day). Location is great, walking distance to Georgetown and the Key Bridge Boathouse. I was there for a meetup group event to watch the July 4th fireworks on kayaks (for 2025, roughly $135 for 3 hour kayak.rental). And I knew that I would be tired, wet and smelling like river water lol afterwards and I didn't want to contend with the Metro (which is free on July 4th) and the press of people. So, I opted for a 1-night stay, which costed $250+44tax=$294 for the room, which is reasonable for the area. Parking is a huge issue during July 4 and traffic is awful. Gotta tell you, the hot shower after a 3-hour kayak event is priceless.
