The room was clean and the bed was lovely. The view around the back is impressive, and there is a place to sit.
Staff were very communicative prior to our arrival. All good and would stay again.

The property was very cute but needs a lot of work with cleaning up the yards and roofs.
The roses and flowers were beautiful.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice while checking in. That’s the only reason why I gave more than 1 star for the staff. We got the double room number 12 for the family. When we first checked into our room we noticed at least 50 ants crawling all over our toilet. Not including the ones on the wall in the bathroom, or the ones around the room. We quickly brought this to staff and the gentleman said ants must have crawled into the room when they left the front door open while washing dog urine that was in up front of the room. (I say bs!!) They were coming in from the cracks on the walls and elsewhere. We left for a few hours. When we returned, we noticed the staff left a can of ant spray on the toilet along with a rag to I guess wipe up and kill more ants. Looked like they did kill some of the ants. There was ants crawling on that rag and more that we found in the bathroom. We again brought this up to the staff and said this was unacceptable. We’re leavin. We wanted a refund. The guy said all he could do was refund only one of the two days and he’d talk to his boss about the other. So far we haven’t seen anything We never stayed more than 20 minutes in our room. I can’t believe management would thinkthis acceptable for a family to stay in. The pictures online look better than reality. We had some sketchy people staring at us sitting outside of their rooms drinking and smoking cigarettes. The front office is old, dirty, and not presentable. Take your money elsewhere.

Cozy Authentic Lodge
Cozy authentic rooms in a delightfully traditional town. There’s nothing plastic or ultra-modern about this lodge…and that makes it perfect. If you’re going to Dunsmuir, you love nature—rivers and forests and mountains and fresh air. And you’ll love the Dunsmuir lodge.

My daughter was traveling home and needed an overnight stop. We travel that route regularly and we are so happy to have picked this spot for her to stay. The front gal was awesome! She called immediately after booking to see what time for arrival. Great Customer Service. My daughter said it was perfect! They are pet friendly too!

The a/c unit was so loud couldn’t sleep with it on or hear the tv. The bathroom fixtures were outdated and the shower made a loud noise when turning on the hot water.
The area at night was very quiet except when the neighbor blasted their tv (probably because of the a/c unit).
Too many flying bugs in the room which were attracted to the lights.

The place looked charming but wasn’t. Tile missing in the shower, sheets that were bagging and old. Pillows were disgusting and the mattress was horrible. The heater was loud and went all night! Total waste of money!
