The location is everything as it is 1 street over from main street. The room was a nice size with 2 double beds and was clean with a large private balcony overlooking the street. The room had a mini fridge, a TV with limited cable, a telephone, great air conditioning and lighting. The cottage is directly across the street from the harbor and the ferry. It’s within walking distance to practically everything in Oak Bluffs. The staff/owners were wonderful and friendly! This place was so clean and spotless. They even offered complimentary sodas and water. I had left my body lotion in the car on the mainland and the owner actually brought me some up to my room!! We spend a couple of nights and will absolutely return! We were overly pleased with this stay!
We stayed at this small, quaint inn for three nights recently while exploring the Cape, and if we ever come back I would definitely stay here again. We loved the beautiful setting and the well-cared for grounds. Coffee on the balcony was a joy. The owner was so helpful with suggestions for ferries, restaurants, routes, etc... Yes, the place is a bit dated, but that's part of the charm, I think. The only thing I think should be addressed would be new mattresses.
We went to the free bird when we weren’t able to go camping because of rain. We were skeptical.. but we were very pleasantly surprised! The pool area was gorgeous the room was very clean and new. The service was quick when we needed new towels. Overall GREAT experience. If we are in the area again would def go back. They also set the room up with balloons and cupcakes for my birthday so sweeet!
So much to love. Phil was the best host ever. Tasteful decor in the room, and eco-friendly amenities in the bathroom. Delicious, real food for breakfast. And it even has goats! We've been coming to the Cape forever and this was the best place we've ever stayed.

My ONLY complaint is the parking. They charged me an additional $50/night for parking. I hate when places pull this type of stunt. I'm already paying nearly $900/night to stay there and at check-in they do this. NOT COOL!!!
Summer camp is superior. Super friendly, accommodating, and welcoming staff, one of the most conveniently located hotels on island, super clean overall, upbeat and modern lobby/lounge area, well decorated and furnished rooms with useful amenities, & an excellent ocean view from our room! The front porch right on the harbor was one of our favorite features! I could go on & on, if you are going to stay in Oak Bluffs STAY AT SUMMERCAMP!!

Really enjoyed our stay and our interactions with the staff. The only thing that wasn't ideal was the street noise. Without earplugs it was nreaaly impossible to sleep before 1am and after 5am when the street cleaners and garbage trucks came every morning.
