"The hotel is fully remodeled and looks beautiful. Our issue with the room was that the AC did not work. We reported it the front desk and was told that the entire building’s AC was shut down for winter and would not turn on. We stated we need to have some type of cool circulation and was told to open the balcony doors. Upon opening the balcony doors this proceeded to bring in bugs and the noises from passing vehicles which kept us wide awake all night. Not everyone is accustomed to sleeping with their with their windows opened and should be regulated per room and per guest.

"The hotel & staff exceeded our expectations at Sui Generis! We absolutely loved that it was boutique and intimate yet with a luxury feel. The breakfast every morning was amazing and the room was very spacious! The two cleanings a day was such a treat. The hotel will also provide you pool & beach towels to use which was very nice. It is also just a 5-6 minute walk to the lively city centre. I would highly recommend them for any visit to Tropea, we would definitely stay here again :)"
