We booked a room in the Yesil Ev Main Building, where we stayed 6 years ago. Upon check-in, the staff acted strangely about the extra booking for our child. Without any proper explanation, we were moved to a guest house a few minutes’ walk from the main building we had actually booked.
The room was directly next to a tram line, with trams passing by every 5 minutes. Sleeping was nearly impossible due to the constant noise. This is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, but it felt more like a cheap guesthouse experience.
On top of that, we paid $400 for the room and $90 for breakfast, absolutely unreasonable for what we got. We travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels, but this was one of the worst experiences. No sleep at all.
