L’etablissement est tres propre mais dans les chambres il fait un peu froid. Manque un miroir dans la chambre et une etagere dans la salle de bain. Machine à café de bonne qualité à disposition. La cuisine est incroyable.

I've never stayed in hostels before but I really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities were great, very nice kitchen area, nice shared bathroom and good room and bed. No complaints. We had supper watching the falls.

I have never stayed in a Hostel before. I had to adjust my mind to a unisex shower room. But this place was very very clean and comfortable.

The bathrooms are clean but too simple

The facility of the shared bathroom is too simple, no facility to put our stuff- like new dry cloth. Then guests have to only cover a tower to the bathroom.

We booked a room mistakenly one day late than we needed. When I found it out one day before our check in time, we were not able to make the change because it passed the free cancellation deadline. So we booked another room. Upon our arrival, the staff found our situation and agreed to give full refund for the mistakenly booked room without our asking. He was super nice and helpful. The room and bathroom are very clean. We appreciated it truly.

Stayed here for three nights as a base to explore south Iceland. Big place with many rooms (50ish?). Kitchen was excellent: huge space, four separate induction cooking surfaces, two fridge/freezers, nice coffee maker. Never felt crowded to be in kitchen given it's size. Plenty of separate WCs and showers: rarely had to wait for either. Rooms were very dorm like. Quiet hours mostly followed; quiet enough to sleep even though many people/full capacity. Although "hostel", most people there were 25+. Not a rowdy place as some hostels can be. Our biggest issue was that our room was v moldy and smelt like wet socks. Probably due to fact it was next to showers. We kept the windows open most of the time there and that helped a bit. This was really our only complaint about this location but it did mean we didn't want to spend any time in our room other than sleeping. Finally, we did find Skogar to be a good base for exploration: much more laid back and not overcrowded compared to Vik but not that far from it in a car (25m). Can easily walk to Skogafoss (30m), Kvernufoss (25m), and museum (5-10m). We would probably stay here again but ask to be located further from the showers in case that was the issue with our room.

Hotel sans reception. Le code d'accès est reçu par e-mail. Néanmoins le personnel d'entretien fait du bon travail pour maintenir la cuisine collective, les sanitaires et douches communes très propres. Toujours un petit problème avec les outils de cuisine dans ce type d'hôtel. Ici, les seuls poêles sont des sauteuses. Pas l'idéal si, comme moi, on est amateur d'œufs aux plats. Beaucoup de familles ou de groupes dans cet hôtel ce qui génère une bonne ambiance. Pas du tout lié à l'hôtel, mais les transports publics semblent très d'efficients en ce lieu. Pas de bus le samedi. Un seul en fin de journée pour Selfoss le samedi. J'ai ainsi pu deux fois dépanner des vacanciers bloqués là.
