Lady who checked us in was very nice and accommodating. Lady in the morning was rude, complaining and we went to breakfast at 8:20 the eggs were a greenish color, no meat, no coffee or no knives. When I asked lady at desk she sighed, complained she was hot and had worked all night and just wanted to go home. She brought out cold coffee, and a couple pieces of ham cut in half for us. No more eggs or knives.

The hotel staff had excellent communication and accommodated our dog that we were traveling with. The room was very clean and comfortable and you can tell they really care about their guests.

We stay in many many hotels and this one is down on the list. Beds were loud, 2nd floor smelled horrible from the laundry room. Shower gels were empty. Pool was nice, so extremely hot in the pool area. Staff was hardly friendly. Breakfast was subpar. Very small space for eating especially when hotel is full of kids for a volleyball tournament. Hotel grounds were good. I probably wouldnt stay here again.

We recently stayed in Newcastle for our Annual District Swim Meet. We have stayed at the hotel as a Club for years and have had a nice time and they have been fairly accommodating. This year it was a disaster. We always rent a room to have our swimmers eat and hangout on Saturday evening while the parents enjoy Grazers. The General Manager took absolutely forever to firm up plans and was less than friendly. When Saturday came and we were gathering up all of our swimmers to eat (pizza that we also ordered from Grazers) Bonnie came upstairs and absolutely lit into all of the parents and kids. She was yelling and cursing about how loud everyone was being and that they had other things going on in the hotel and that we were going to be fined if we continued to be loud. We had almost 20 families staying, paying and dining in their hotel. Add that up - lots of $$ for the dead of winter in a small town. The hotel was full mostly in part to the swim meet. We did end up leaving and taking our party to another establishment that was more than willing to accommodate all of us last minute. We were still charged to have the room in which we didn't use and we took and paid for all of the pizzas that the kids were suppose to enjoy. If the swim meet is still held in Newcastle - we will not be staying here. Very disappointed in the staff. It all very well could have been handled better.

If I could give negative stars I would. The meaning of hospitality was never included in the training for the managers. Both women are rude and disrespectful, and quite honestly encouraging of visitors to not come back. We had a swim club stay for a weekend (30 families) and were cursed at and warned about not being allowed back because we took up their entire hotel and we ate all of their food at their restaurant. Ummmmmmm - you're welcome. Until the management changes, this is a hotel that will make you feel unwelcome, and like you are a problem for them to deal with. I would encourage visitors to stay anywhere else but here.

Fire alarm went off. Set the tone for the night. Was told that one room causes this regularly because of some internal issue that hadn’t been rectified. Next door room had door propped until Midnight talking loudly. My 18 month old puked after eating eggs at the restaurant, then proceeded to puke after eating different eggs in the breakfast area the following morning. Checkout was a breeze and that lady is wonderful.
