It’s amazing to stay in a heritage listed property while the house still meets most of the needs of a family. It’d be better if the host could let us know the actual address earlier as the address on Expedia is not the place we stayed. We got the SMS with the correct address after going to the wrong place. Also it’d be great if fly-screens can be installed to the windows at the kitchen area.

Lovely setting in the trees, nice to sit out and have a coffee on the verandah in the morning. Was a little out of town so arriving in the dark was not ideal. Very clean and cosy, with comfortable bed. Only downside was the noise from the upstairs guests - footsteps were very loud

Views of the bay
'Scarlett Robin', TasShack in which we stayed in Bicheno wad in a great position to explore Freycinet and Coles Bay. Bought fabulous local mussels, lit a fire at night as it was chilly and enjoyed a comfortable stay. Well equipped kitchen. Great to have washer and dryer in bathroom.

The property was surprisingly large and in a lovely bush setting and Bicheno is a beautiful place. We had an issue with an out door light in the apartment below us that was faulty and flashed all night constantly like a strobe light keeping us awake. Informed cleaning staff but it wasn’t sorted so we moved into an alternate bedroom for the next night. The deck is unsafe for visiting children. We would have informed the manager/ receptionist but it was a drop off box for the key on the morning of the departure.

Our stay at TasShacks was absolutely perfect. We got upgraded to the Denison Rivulet Retreats as the shack we had booked was unavailable. The location was awesome, not to mention the shack itself, which was almost like brand new, clean and with all the stuff we needed to cook and maintain the place. The staff were very helpful and promptly assisted us when we needed.

Bicheno is a lovely welcoming community. Proprietor (sorry I've forgotten your name!), was so helpful, map she gave us in our key package for finding this Wombat gem was spot on. It is a little over a kilometre from town, so get your groceries before, then you can start relaxing immediately. Secluded bush spot, "with sea glimpses"?so need to drive to the beach or walk a km. But beautiful. We had the ground floor studio, which was spacious.

It was a lovely bush setting, the spa was quite nice. With that ticking all the box’s just a couple of extra dollars spent on the mattress would have made our stay super comfortable,

Amasing stay in Bicheno
What a pleasant surprise! We booked a Family House, 2 Bedrooms, Fireplace and it turned out to be a historic house, former Gaol, very tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Loved the fireplace and a separate dining room. Excellent location - just 5 minutes walk from Waubs beach where we spotted a few penguins!

Superb location
Fantastic location in woodland, walks, wildlife, dogs will love it! We had the 2 bed roomed apartment which gave us masses of room. The 1 bedroom would be good for a couple but maybe a bit cramped for friends. Loads of amenities, absolutely loved it. Only 1 moan, don't expect to be able to use wifi. We were given codes that were for 4 days, lasted maybe 1 and the TV had no signal most of the time! The sea is beautiful and only 5 minutes away.

Not Quite Full Marks
Our unit was good value but nothing is ever perfect. The bathroom placed too much emphasis on the spar with the mirror badly placed above the toilet as a result of a large windows that extended over the hand basin. More cupboard and bench space would be useful in the living area.

Liked the surrounding bushland and glimpse of ocean. Didn't like inability to use BBQ as gas bottle inoperable, no plug for spa bath or sink therefore unable to use. Watered down hand soap and detergent. Double bed matress hard and wiry.
