Location can’t be beat, close to Sauble and only an hour from Tobermory. The lady at the front was very nice and gave us ideas of things to do in Wiarton, however, the motel is old and not very clean. Our room had dead squished house flies on the walls and mirror.

Absolutely one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. I know it’s a motel, so I wasn’t expecting luxury, but for over $330 CAD a night, this was beyond disappointing. The moment I walked into the room, I was hit with an overpowering spice smell that made it hard to breathe. The bathroom was the worst part— the bathtub was so dirty I didn’t even dare to shower, which has never happened to me in any hotel before. On top of that, there was no ventilation in the bathroom, and the sink smelled like sewage coming back up from the drain. For this price, the very least you could do is keep the place clean. Disgusting experience, and I will definitely never return.

I went to this hotel in 2019 when it was under different ownership and included breakfast. I mistakenly thought they would still have breakfast but they didn’t. However that was not my main complaint, I booked on Hotels.com and the rate for 3 people in a room vs 4 people in a room was the same amount so when I mentioned that a 4th person my aunt had decided to come they advised me to give them $20 cash. The sheets were a Christmas theme but the room was very clean. There should be a second lock on the 2 doors in the room such as a chain lock to make customers feel a bit safer.

For the price it was not a great place to stay.

Coffee machine didn't have any creamer. Place needed better cleaning. Bedding was old and worn out. No tissues, no disposable glasses in bathroom. Restaurant was hot and dirty. Description says office is open 24/7 but was locked in morning at check out time. Restaurant was unlocked but nobody there. Won't be back.

Not worth the money

I’ve stayed in a lot of 3 star hotels. The price for this motel is definitely not worth it. $207 for 1 night and $365 for the second with an $80 extra guest fee. Also, hotels.com did not post that Saturday night would be so much more expensive or that I would be charged an extra guest fee. For what???? There were 3 people in my room with 2 queen sized beds. There were supposed to be 4. That is not an extra guest and the ad said it sleeps 5 which it definitely doesn’t. The beds were comfortable but with stained, mismatched sheets and crappy pillows. It was clean enough but the water pressure in the shower was horrible. The wifi cut in and out as well. We were about to leave for the beach when housekeeping came so I said it would be just a few minutes. They never came back. The absolute best part of this motel is the restaurant that serves lunch and dinner and the people who run the hotel are very friendly. Like I said, I know what is expected for 3 stars and this isn’t it. I won’t be back and suggest that you don’t stay here.

Okay okay

Rooms are newly renovated thats why by default they are clean. Washroom is not clean, no drier, towels are yellowish, no lotion. Locking is not easy, keep moving keys around to finally hit the luck.
