For the price , not at all worth it. Highest price paid and yet not even a capacino machine! No staff on site after about 11:30 am. Thought this was a hotel, not a hostel Even silly things like multiple TV remotes and two of three would operate certain things. Hotel even unable to get a taxi I think the mgmt lost their passion of operating a hotel - more like accountants , not professional hoteliers.

Small Building
Palazzo Medusa is a nice little building located near a lot of the touristy areas of Rome. The location is great. The hotel itself is very small and cramped. The room that we stayed in was quite small and had one small window. The curtains over the window got stuck whenever they tried to be open. The room was very cramp and I am very happy we only stayed for one night. With two suit cases the space became even smaller. With all this being said, it was a clean and well decorated room. I would recommend it for those traveling lightly and by themselves.

budget Rome
Great location from which to walk or cab to all of the top spots in Rome. Average 15 Euro to most anywhere, or you can walk there in 20 minutes or less. Room soundproofing isn't great, but okay unless you are a very light sleeper. Lots of places to eat and shop within a block or two. Make sure you have cell phone that works in Europe or you may have trouble checking in. Building front door is always locked and door intercom doesn't work well. You have to call the staff to get in. Be sure you have the number.

Great hotel with great location
My experience at Palazzo Medusa was great. Mathew, the host, was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The location is also great. Nearby many good restaurants and the main places to visit in Rome. Definitely coming back !

Great little hotel in supreme location
It's a really small hotel (6 rooms), but its condition is great. Everything in the room was almost new. Everything functioned. Hotel management is onsite in the morning only, but always reachable and very helpful. Cleaning was generally good, but did not include daily vacuuming. The hotel is in a little side street, and doesn't look like a hotel from the outside. But its location is supreme - we walked to Piazza Navona, Trevi fountain, Spanish stairs/Villa di Medici, forum/Colosseum/Palatine hill, Curia Pompeii, and the Vatican. The area is chockful of restaurants, gelaterias, little shops, etc. There are also several supermarkets nearby. I don't think the location can be beaten.

We selected this property based on location, reasonable price for 1 night after a long cruise, air conditioning, elevator and staffed check-in. The staff made several points of outreach in the days leading up to our arrival to coordinate check in. Greatly appreciated that. The entryway was very welcoming and the elevator was modern (though small) - more reliable than another Rome property we stayed at before our cruise. The room was spacious, there were wood beams along the ceiling and shutters on the window that added character to the decor. The bathroom was also spacious and was very modern. The bed was comfy and there was complimentary tea, coffee and water in the room. Also, the person that checked us in, showed us where to find WiFi and after hours contact info, plus after she left our room she messaged us helpful suggestions for nearby restaurants, attractions, transport, etc. we enjoyed our stay and felt safe in the area.

Quiet and Restful Stay
The room is close to transport and you can easily get to attractions on the bus. Don't even think about hiring a car! Parking is impossible. The room was very quiet and comfortable with airconditioning. Windows open also if necessary. The bed was a Kingsize double and there is a private bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided. The hotel has a lift, but we used the (steep) stairs. The hotel is located in a small and quiet laneway. There's no front desk as such, but staff are available at certain hours. We had a small maintenance issues that was attended to immediately.

The restroom smell very bad. You can hear everything from room to room. At the middle of the night a snoring next door woke me up. The cleaning lady opened my door at 10am without knocking first and scared me! Good customer service from reception but overall very bad experience.
