I have called the hotel few times before the arrival day to make sure they have my reservations correct but no one answers. After eight times of trying to get hold of someone unsuccessfully I gave up. The day that I arrived to the hotel I found out just like I thought my reservation was all messed up. I spoke to the manager but the manger instead there is nothing he can do and insisted that I need to pay extra to change my room type which I did cuz I had the family with me and we were extremely exhausted. I go up to the room and it was still not fixed. I went back to customer service to let them know i have kids and the room they put me in is one bed. I was told again that I need to pay extra for sleeper sofa suite. I paid extra for the second time to get it fixed. Long story short I was suppose to get a double bed with a view but I ended up with a room with a king and sofa in the 4th floor with no view not to mention the room had a dirt carpet. Do to my work I stay up a lot in Chicago but usually I stay in Hyatt or Marriott , Club Quarter and my mistake was I wanted to try something different and it turn out to be a very bad experience. Management is terrible there is no sense of urgency or customer care at all. Generally I’m nice guy and I always look at the positive never left bad reviews cuz truly I haven’t had one until now so this is my first bad review in years of traveling. I will not recommend this hotel to family or friend.

The staff continuously went above and beyond with their service. I felt openly welcomed and will definitely be staying here when visiting Chicago.

Be careful, I was charged valet parking without my knowledge. I didn't drive to the hotel and was dropped off at the hotel by a friend. I had to call the hotel to get the charge removed.

Very good hotel in a great location with excellent service and outstanding views with some baffling glitches. The elevator system is a mess--no buttons in the elevators, and they stop at floors with no discernible pattern. The vent fan in our bathroom would turn on and off by itself at random intervals (and was very loud), but did not come on when we turned the light on.

We were offered at check in an up grade to a river view for an extra 50 dollars a night which we declined, the lady who was checking us in attitude changed immediately- to frosty and unfriendly when we refused, not a great welcome.
