Fikk først et rom uten vindu. Fikk byttet etter litt diskusjon. Hotellet var under ombygging og bassenget var ikke veldig rent. Fredelig belliggenhet.

Dont be misled by the claims and you'll be ok

The official description above is 8 years out of date and misleading, there is no nightclub (good), no playground, the TV channels are all so out of tune to be unwatchable, there are no umbrellas or pads on the sunbeds round the pool and no alcohol served. The 'luxury cottages' are no such thing. BUT if you want simple clean affordable accommodation with friendly staff it's fine. There are several restaurants and a supermarket within 2 minutes walk and the main restaurants are less than a £1 tuktuk ride away. The (5 currently) chalets rather than cottages are in a quiet garden setting with there own sitting area and are worth the little bit extra.

Very good basic hotel

Stayed 2 nights at the start of our holiday and another 2 at the end. Not a luxury place, but for the price very good value. The staff are very good and friendly. The building is well maintained and the small swimming pool is surrounded by a pretty garden. Location fine.

Vi bodde i en mycket fin bungalow som låg en bit från strandvägen och det var lugnt och stilla. Några hundra meter till stranden där det är ett fint utbud av solstolar och restauranger. När vi åkte hem var det nära till Colombos flygplats och hotellet ordnade en billig transport.

Bescheidender Service in recht guter Lage

Von innen ist der Bungalow sehr nett (bis auf die extrem laute Klimaanlage), die Hotelumgebung ist jedoch enttäuschend. Direkt nebenan wurde gebaut, und wir wurden ständig von den Arbeitern beglotzt. Der Pool liegt nicht sehr einladend am Parkplatz. Die Rezeption konnte uns kein funktionierendes Wifi-Passwort mitteilen. Obwohll wir eine späte Ankunft angekündigt hatten, mussten wir eine halbe Stunde "Hallo hallo" rufen, bis mal jemand erschien.

Inappropriate Location

Based on the review and picture, I booked this Hotel for 2 Nights. I was looking for Hotel close to beach. Contrary to my expectation, this is behind Cemetry. You can only enjoy the view of their small swimming pool. As I decided to cancel the booking, I had to pay for 1 night accommodation. There are plenty of Hotels just in front of beach. I shifted to beach front Hotel nearby.

The best hotel with fantastic staffs

6 days stay. Felt very at home. From manager Mr Dammika to room staffs made our stay so warm. Our needs were their 1st priority at any time. Breakfast any time was the best thing. Even with full occupancy the hotel will be extremely quiet and peaceful to make our stay even pleasant. Will surely recommend this hotel to any one to goes to negombo. Thanks to Maple leaf hotel

Nice stay before departure

The hotel had a great feel about it. Service is slow, but friendly. There are some upgrades happening, though it does not interfere with the stay. The owner and manager are developing a great place to stay, though it is not a big chain hotel stay. The beach, restaurants, and souvenir shopping is a few minutes walk down the street, but it is an enjoyable walk. The beach access is also close by.

Good Location, average Price/value

Friendly staff but airport transfer at 4:45am did not happen although confirmed by phone and SMS. Hotel is close to the beach, maybe 5min walk. Distance to airport about 30min. Rooms quite basic. Had to ask for towels and no trash bin etc.

brand new, and very professional staff.

we only stayed here for a short night before flying home. Brand new and neat rooms with comfortable beds. professional and serviceminded staff. only drawback was that there was no more hotwater left when we took a late evening shower. would stay here again.
