The room, breakfast and gym were decent overall.
Staff: The staff was welcoming at the reception area. However, improvement is needed in how they handle and manage incidents that occur at the hotel, as I did not have a great experience. Staff should have further training in learning techniques on how to speak in a calm and respectful manner, to worried customers who lost important belongings. In case of emergencies, a manager or assistant manager at the very least should have access to rooms that could carry sensitive items that belong to customers.
Some of us travel from all over the world and book flights as well, especially on long weekends: Telling a customer to come back the next day to verify if their personal card identifications is there because no manager/assistant manager is present on site, is NOT acceptable.
Flights are expensive and you cannot assume everyone can afford seating around waiting on your hotel staff to come back to work the following day.
Shops nearby: Unfortunately, the area where the hotel is located doesn’t have much activity and doesn’t feel very welcoming, perhaps due to increased homelessness and suspected drug consumption in the surroundings. I would recommend having a vehicle to circulate around.
