Great location right across the street from Fubo Hill and the river. This hotel is a great value. Nice rooms, very large with comfortable beds. Modern fixtures in the bathroom with separate tub and shower. Ample hot water. They have a Chinese restaurant and a western restaurant. We tried the Chinese restaurant I have found hotel western restaurants in China in general to often be pretty dismal. The food at the Chinese restaurant was good. They had no English menu but the restaurant manager spoke reasonable English and was gracious in answering questions. That combined with the usual photo menus resulted in a good meal.
If you end up on the fifth floor you'll have nice views but make sure you are at the far North end of the fifth floor to avoid noise from what must have been a night club or KTV on the sixth floor. One of our group was in a room that was very noisey but was quite happy once moved to the Northeast end of the fifth floor.
English was VERY limited at the front desk. Tried to order an early morning taxi for a ride to an early train departure. We were told to walk three blocks to the main street and flag down a taxi (which is just what we did). I do not believe they were trying to be unhelpful; just the opposite, in fact. Despite the language barrier, I got the impression that they were trying to tell me if they called for a cab it might never show up and then I'd be stuck.
