Our experience at Azur was disappointing, primarily due to poor communication, misleading advertising, and unprofessional management.
1. Severe Lack of Communication
Our booking confirmation through Expedia explicitly stated that we needed to contact the lodge directly. However, the phone number provided was invalid. Upon arrival, we found an unmanned front desk with only a blackboard directing us back to the confirmation email for check-in—an absolute dead end. There was no clear way to reach staff for assistance, making the check-in process frustrating and disorganized.
2. Deceptive Photos & Misleading Advertising
The lodge’s online pictures painted a vastly different image than reality. The property looked far more worn-down than advertised, with noticeable signs of neglect. There was no sign of the jacuzzi that was supposedly included in the amenities. The lack of maintenance was evident throughout the property, which also happened to be listed for sale—something that might explain the overall disregard for guest experience.
3. Unprofessional & Dismissive Management
We requested an upgrade to Azur Beach House on three separate occasions, only to be met with vague, dismissive responses from the so-called manager. When I asked for his name to document our negative experience in a review, he refused to spell it out and ultimately hung up on me after I asked for the third time. According to his blurry and whispering pronounceation, it's Brecell in case the owner ne
