Needs a bit of improvement
Our room was not clean when we arrived to it. Crumbs on the counters and floors had not been vacuumed, as evidenced by crumbs and debris in both the kitchen and bathroom. We had house keeping come on our 3 day there and the job she did was excellent, although she forgot to give us toilet paper. On day 5 we went to use silverware and there was still food on the knife from someone else. Parking was extremely expensive, $48 a day. The front desk told us if we had a handicap number we could park free. Having this saved us over $500 in parking. Thank you for letting us know this.

Had to request room service and towels. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Know that can not be helped but not much guidance on where to go or when to ho back to room. We left the next day (1 day early) and the still charged us a night and valet parking for a night we were no there. Called but not willing to compromise or make good.

Southern Hospitality was at full display. Room was clean and had everything we needed (utensils, dish soap etc). Only issue with this location (and not the fault of the hotel) is that there is no free parking. The parking garage is owned by the city and the rate is ($1 for 20 minutes), and $24 for overnight. Hotel does offer Valet, which was ~$50 (with in-and-out priviliges).

Walking distance to downtown!!!
This hotel had a full kitchen excluding an oven. The staff was courteous and friendly. We walked everywhere! Very convenient being on King Street. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for just under 48 hours. The fire alarm went off in the night at 2:30 am and we evacuated the building. Never heard what happened. At 6:22 am the clock alarm went off. I had not set it. At the end of our stay we paid $72 for parking after being told it was $24 max per day and we were under 48 hours. Our kitchen sink faucet was barely functioning, very loose and not working properly.

No hot water and a freezing pool
I stayed at this hotel several years ago, and we had a great experience. However, this time there was no hot water when we arrived—something out of their control. Which I understand. We didn't get hot water until the next evening. However, one of our main objectives was to let the grandkids enjoy the indoor pool. The water was FREEZING so the boys couldn't enjoy it. They were immensely disappointed and so were we because it was one of the primary reasons for our trip.

Great location to walk King Street
The hotel did not have hot water the first night, but we understand that things happen! Staff was friendly and accomodating and we could tell they were under a lot of stress. They made our stay as comfortable as possible and we loved our room which was clean with a comfortable bed.

Not a great experience
I am a local and was looking forward to enjoying a staycation downtown Charleston I booked my room through a third party company upon my arrival AFTER I checked-in I was told that there it's NO water in the entire Hotel so disappointed I ended up having to book another hotel and spending money that I was not expecting to spend and even at the second Hotel it was only double beds available because everyone was being redirected there it was just a total mess

Very nicely appointed room. There is a living space, kitchen and bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The shower was great with a large shower head and a foot rest for shaving (I almost never see this in hotels). Parking was about $33 a day but at least it was very close and safe. Hot breakfast was good and the breakfast room was large and clean. There is a rooftop bar but we didn't get a chance to go. I would definitely recommend this property.
