When I booked the room, I believed I was staying in the building on the boardwalk with an elevator — that was the main reason I chose this property. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I learned that my room was actually in a separate building located behind the boardwalk property, which does not have an elevator. This felt like false advertising, whether on the part of the hotel or Expedia. Thankfully, we were only on the second floor, so it wasn’t too many stairs to climb.
On the positive side, the room itself was spacious and clean. Housekeeping came daily to tidy up and provide fresh towels, which I appreciated.
My other disappointment was with the military discount inquiry. Before arrival, I emailed about it and was told I’d need to call in. When I called, the man who answered initially said they didn’t offer a military discount, but after I mentioned the email, he said he’d call me back in 10 minutes and hung up on me. He never did!!
Overall, the stay had its positives, but the elevator misrepresentation and lack of follow-through on customer service left a sour impression.
