Beautiful Property on the Mountain
Casa Mellado was an excellent find. The staff greeted & treated us as if we were family!! The service is fabulous. The food is delicious. You have to eat on the patio to enjoy the scenic view! Roads to the property are narrow but the hotel offers shuttle to and from the historic downtown area. Breathtaking views, quiet neighborhood, room was spacious and beautifully decorated Mexican rustic motif. Pictures do not do the hotel & property any justice. I highly recommend this & will definitely return soon.

very beautifull hotel
it is a very beautiful hotel on the top of a hill. As we are the only guest that day, the hotel was not open when we arrived there. With help of local people, the manager came to meet us. Therefore, he offered us the best room of the hotel, which overlooks the valley of the historical town. He is a very kind of man. We are deeply impressed by the beauty of the town and its people.

En general es un buen hotel, lejano del centro, pero el personal del hotel se encarga de llevarte al centro de la ciudad o pedirte un taxi para ello. Las habitaciones son amplias, limpias y bonitas. Sin embargo, considero que en cuanto al servicio de restaurante este debe mejorar bastante.

La verdad me sentí estafado ya que seguí la ruta que marca el mapa de ubicación del hotel y llegue al lugar y no hay nada de hotel llegue a las 9 de la noche marque al teléfono que aparece y me dijeron que estaba a 13 km de distancia y eso no es correcto Además por supuesto que me cobraron la noche por qué no llegue eso es un robo total

Buen hotel
El hotel es bueno si vas a descansar, el detalle es que esta algo lejos del centro de la ciudad. El único detalle es que pagué por una suite familiar y al momento de llegar me dieron una habitación mucho mas pequeña que la que había pagado. Amablemente el personal del hotel me otorgó el desayuno de cortesía.

Fraude, el hotel no esta en el centro
En hotel es aceptable, pero el problema que tuve es que en todas los sitios de agencias de viajes, el hotel aparece ubicado en el centro de la ciudad y al llegar al sitio marcado en los planos, resulta que no existe el hotel. Al querer hablar a los teléfonos indicados en la reservación estos no existen, después de buscar en internet y marcar mas de 5 números diferentes al fin logramos que en un celular nos contestara alguien que nos indico que el hotel se encuentra a las afueras de la ciudad. Esto provocó mucho malestar, porque yo quería un hotel en el centro para salir caminando a todos lados, pero resultó que el hotel esta muy lejos, pero muuuy lejos del centro y hay que usar taxis todo el tiempo. Si uno supiera esto desde el principio veria uno diferente al hotel, pero que lo hagan a uno pensar que esta contratando un hotel en el centro y realmente este fuera de la ciudad es un fraude. Nada mas por eso no recomiendo este hotel

hübsches Hotel, weit ab vom Zentrum
Das Hotel und Service sind zuvorkommend. Grosser NAchteil ist die Lage,Zentrum nur mit Auto zu erreichen, zu Fuss ins Zentrum nicht möglich. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist nicht sehr einladend, verärmtere Gegend, schwieriger Zugang wegen der engen Gassen.

Unfortunatelly too far from Guanajuato centre.
The hotel looks great and the facilities and room are 5 star, unfortunately the map on Expedia describes and shows the hotel in the centre of Guanajuato. What is convenient particulary when you travel with elderly people and you don't want then to be traveling that much and the need of a handy hotel when required. The hotel is on the top of the hill where the Mellado Church. A 10-15 min cab is required to go downtown, been this good if you are ok traveling and you are informed in advanced. After been lost for few hours trying To find it, what is not exactly the experience you expect to have on a relaxing holiday. The staff compensate with rooms in another hotel in town part of same group. And this was exactly what we were looking for. A hotel In town. I would like to recommend Mellado but is too far. Instead we were given rooms in Alonso10 what it was a more pleasant experience. Please correct your directions to not create confusion.

El hotel y la vista son muy buenas, tarde en encontrarlo porque esta en la autopista panorámica y la gente del lugar me daba otras instrucciones, igual eso es mi culpa por no tener gps ni buen sentido de la ubicación, lo malo del hotel es q se escucha todo, nos tocaron unos niños de Monterrey que estaban jugando fut adentro del hotel y los papas no les decían nada, ojo que eso no es culpa del hotel, el hotel esta bonito igual deberían cambiar las puertas de las habitaciones para que no se escuche mucho el ruido

Expedia totally misled us. Indicated Hotel location WRONG/WRONG/WRONG!!!! Had to hire a taxi to take us to the location! Centre of town, which is where we wanted to be AND which was indicated on the Website was,in fact a $6.00 taxi fare one-way!

Hotel Boutique super tranquilo.
Instalaciones y servicio excelentes, el hotel esta en las zonas mas altas y tiene una vista increible de la ciudad y es super tranquilo. La desventaja es la ubicacion, recomiendo pedir apoyo de un guia en el centro para que los guie la primera vez, ellos no cobran solo piden una propina; ya que esta un poco enredado llegar. Ventaja es que el hotel tiene transportacion gratuita al centro, que de hecho esta muy cerca (10 min).

Hotel lejos en zona muy inaccesible del centro.
Yo pagué por internet y no estaba disponible en mi cuarto, sólo en el lobby. También tenían películas en DVD que no pude ver porque no había reproductor de DVDs en mi cuarto. Me dijeron que había una recámara que sí tenía internet y reproductor, pero se negaron a cambiarme a esa recámara aunque el hotel estaba vacío. Está muy caro el hotel para estar tan lejos y en una área muy remota.

El Hotel estaba cerrado, no pudimos hospedarnos,
Primero, el hotel estaba cerrado, nadie atendio ni el telefono no la puerta, asi que tuvimos que tomar otro hotel, por otro lado, dice en la pag. web, que el hotel esta a .6 Km del centro, Mentira eta muy muy lejos del centro a mas de 20 min en carro. Muy descontento tanto con Hotel.com como con el Hotel.
