Okay motel, a bit rundown

This motel was a bit more old and run down than some of the other cheap motels in OC we have stayed at. It was sort of clean enough. The towels were old and worn out and scuff marks on the walls. Also it was annoying that there was no outdoor shower, which made our room sandier. Staff was friendly and helpful. If the price is right okay to stay here, but not great. We stayed on a weeknight. Parking was included and we were able to park in the lot a few hours before and after check in, which was nice.

You get what you pay for

The man checking us in was wonderful. The good things ended there. Between finding a hair claw/clip on the bed that wasn't mine, what appeared to be black mold on the walls in the bathroom, and the fact that we didn't have toilet paper or even a toilet paper HOLDER on the wall in the bathroom. I am never one to care where I stay when I just need somewhere to sleep, but even I cared this time. Nothing was overtly disgusting, but I still slept on top of the sheets with my beach towel as a blanket. Thankfully it was just one night. After 40 years in OCMD I finally found a place I won't stay again.

My stay here was wonderful. Great location, free parking, close to the beach, and fresh hot coffee all day in the lobby. But the best part of it was our gracious host, Anil, he was amazing! He really went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our entire vacation. Very polite and accommodating to our every need, and did it with a smile at all times. I will definitely come back here just because of him and his positive attitude! He truly understands what it means to be in the hospitality industry and make his guests feel welcome, happy and comfortable. Thanks Anil for all you did to make our stay a pleasant one.

Worst place to stay

Bed broke when we sat in it, there was black mold everywhere because there was no ventilation. Tv didn’t work, all lamps, air conditioning, tv, microwave and fridge overloaded on ONE outlet! Shower head and handle was tore out of the wall and moved around.

I feel like there should be at least coffee pots in room. More towels better maid service. The clientele should be screened. Our last night there was a irate gentleman there. I just feel there should be an age limit to get a room. A lot of teenage to mid twenty year olds there.

The room looked nothing like the pictures. It was covered in sand. The bathroom light fixture half worked. The shower head was basically pulled off the wall and the tiles were all cracked with mold growing in them. On a positive note, the air conditioner worked well and we were able to stream shows on the tv.

Got a good night sleep, but there was no refrigerator or microwave and not enough plug outlets. The bathroom door was too small. You had to go sideways.

I liked that the room had a nice clean looking floor instead of the dingy carpet most places seem to have, however the bathroom looked a little neglected. It was clean enough but looks like it could use some additional upkeep besides a cleaning. Otherwise and overall, the Cabana was a great place to stay for the weekend, not far from the boardwalk at all.

Disgusting

When we got in the room we were hit with a strong smell of urine and the room was hot. The ac unit was broken and there was left over food in the refrigerator and the bathroom was dirty. We talked to the front desk and the offered to send someone to look at the unit. We waited for about an hour in the hot room and no one came. We ended up leaving and we are hoping for a refund.
