It's was great to stay here. Very comfortable and unique with planes on the property that people could rent as room. Beautiful lighting and very friendly staff. There are a few restaurants I think owned by property that they will drive you right to. Very nice also has AC and TV where you can use your own Netflix

More monkeys than people

Lovely room. One of my favorites of the stat. Woke to monkeys every morning!!! Their motto is "Still more.monkeys than people". Saw sloths on the grounds too and the adult pool has incredible ocean views. Very unique place. More animals.here than in the park!

Absolutely gorgeous! Loved the unique decor in the room and around the property. Grounds were well maintained and very tropical. Pools were nice and the monkeys were fun to see around the property. Would highly recommend.

I loved staying at this hotel. I wanted to see animals, be close to the jungle/forrest and feel like I was in nature. I saw monkeys right outside my window and monkeys and iguanas by the pool. I wish the pool were lit up at nighttime.

What a wonderful place! We booked the cheapest room and stayed only 1 night but we absolutely loved it and wished we had stayed longer. Monkeys came to our balcony and we saw more monkeys and an iguana on the way to the beach (a 5 minute walk downhill). Great restaurant options in the area within walking distance. We took a taxi to the National Park for less than 4$USD and left our luggage and vehicle with reception after checkout. We never made it to the pools. Would stay again and would recommend!

We did choose Costa Verde hotel as it was our last 3 days in CR. The hotel is rated as 4* however, for europeans standards, the hotel should be downgraded to 3*. The rooms need to be refurbishment as they are old and dated. The staff members in the reception were really unfriendly, unhelpful and unprofessional. We did the laundry in the hotel and the total cost came to $83. As I asked to pay in colones, the staff added the wrong amount (it was a genuine mistake that could happen to all of us) however, one of the receptionist found it very funny and started laughing. No apologise as customers. The hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues as the rooms are located far and you need to walk a ramp. Yes, it is a car service but again, the car is like a Land-rover (quite high to jump in) and the driver was not very helpful or friendly. The hotel has 3 pools but they don’t provide the customers with towels for the pool. You have to use the ones in the room and they will change it later. We had breakfast one day and was okish but £35 for 2 coffees and 2 eggs is far to expensive for the quality of the breakfast. Pros: the rooms were cleaned and we had coffee to make our own coffee every morning

This was an amazing place to vacation. Easy access to Manuel Antonio and the beach. Even if you don't want to visit either of those, the property itself is like a zoom. We saw 3 different species of monkeys up close with some visiting us right on our balcony. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable and there were plenty of dining options right on the property.

This was by far my favorite hotel in my entire trip. Just walking around and seeing so much nature and random airplanes, was so cool. Amazing views from the balconies too! My new zen.

Lack of basic maintenance

The kitchen faucet is broken, almost cause flooding. We reported to the front desk, when we came back afternoon, it has been replaced with the new one. The water temperature for the bath tub is unpredictable. The first day is fine, the next day there is no hot water for the bath tub.
