We usually stay at Fairmont whenever in Manila.
The team in the Gold Lounge are usually predictive in terms of service.
But this time around with a fairly new team, I'd say, service is not 'attuned' to the needs of the guest.
This can be 'relative', since the manager it seems is on leave. And one of the senior staff is assigned elsewhere.
Nevertheless, it is no excuse, since Fairmont's relatively warm, and attentive service were the main reason we favor it over Shangri-La.
Furthermore, for some strange reason, the 'room service' food smell coming from the hallway, keeps finding its way inside the room.
Hence, the room smelled like food.
Could it be that the Back of the House doesn't bus out soiled dishes sooner? Maybe so.
I've noticed guests leaving the gold lounge for instance, and their used plates took at least 30 minutes to be bussed out.
Fairmont needs to go back to basics!
