Can't be beat - it's quiet enough if you have the fan running, clean, and cheap relative to all the other motels on the island with comfy enough beds that you can sleep well before you go on an overnight sea kayaking adventure.

Room was relatively small and minimalistic, but very well maintained. You could tell that they take pride in the display and care of their rooms when their guests arrive. Check-in and check-out were super easy and friendly. There was plenty of parking and the location was very walkable. Next time I find myself in Friday Harbor, I will definitely look into staying here again!

The Orca Inn was definitely a Budget option, but it was perfectly adequate. The room was small, but clean. I would say it was a “no frills” accommodation, but it was convenient to town and a fantastic bakery (Bakery San Juan) nesrby. If all you need is a clean place with a comfortable bed, this is a great option. But don’t expect more.

The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the air conditioner was perfect as a white noise generator as well as room cooler. Building 2 has the quietest rooms.

Front desk was helpful. Cold water and hot coffee always available. Room was dated and needs redecorating but the beds are comfy-the sheets nice- the pillows and towels great. All and all a good value in a really expensive town.

Despite being an older property, the room was well maintained and clean. The room was very small, but we expected that based on other reviews and the size wasn’t an issue for our two night stay. The property is also just a 3 minute drive from town. Good for a quick getaway!

We enjoyed our stay here. The place is only a few minutes walk to Friday Harbor and close to Roche Harbor on the north side of the island. Although they didn’t serve breakfast, they had coffee available in the office plus across the street is Bakery San Juan which serves great meals.

Not what I expected. It has everything you might need - bed and bathroom but the beds sit in the middle of the room because the heater is right behind the bed - blowing on your head. The rooms looks pieced together with paneling. Shower is tiny and an insert. I guess for Friday Harbor this is what you get for $150 night!

My wife and I stayed at the Orca Inn for 5 days while we were visiting the island for tourism and a wedding. The rooms are a bit small for two people, but if you are in town mostly to spend time outside of your hotel, they are very good value for Friday Harbor. The room and building in general were well maintained and clean and the staff was very helpful. One tip, if you need a hairdryer or an iron, ask the front desk!

Very basic accommodations. Earplugs are useful for when everyone is using their heating/cooling units. My shower stall was missing a door magnet on one side so it would not close completely, causing water to end up on the bathroom floor. It was not fixed during my stay.

While there is nothing *wrong* with this property it is extremely basic, and the rooms are so tiny ya have to shimmy around the side of the bed. Its the most affordable stay, but if there's any place else available for only a little more, I'd stay there instead. A stay here is *fine*, but it will come with a side eye from your spouse.
