The room is large but not usefully so. There are no plug sockets beside the bed in the room I was in so you had to get out of bed to turn your alarm off if like me your phone needs constant charging. The TV was a disappointment. No smart TV services (despite the buttons in the remote). Fortunately the WiFi was fast enough to stream on the tablet. No casting available. The bathroom was a similar situation. The combined depth of the large square sink and the cabinet covering the toilet cistern made shaving difficult and there was no pullout shaving mirror. Breakfast too was a disappointment. Scrambled eggs, plum tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, sausage and bacon was all there was on hot counter. You get more for less at the budget hotels.

The room was very clean, and very spacious for a standard room, bed was extremely comfy. The breakfast was very good, the bar was a bit limited but the barman was very apologetic and helpful. Great location and although in the centre of the city was very quiet…being 13 floors up might have had something to do with it ! Great views though. Will definitely use again.

Relatively good hotel. Only issue was I booked 2 superior rooms with a harbour view. When we arrived they did not really accommodate the booking. We had a room on the top floor which had a private terrace and a harbour view but my friends who I booked the same style room did not get harbour view or appear to get the same treatment as us. A little disappointing especially when I booked 2 of the same rooms at the point of booking.

Great location. The room was comfortable if a bit tired looking. The staff were friendly but a bit short on the ground, especially during breakfast. For the money and location it's very fair and I would happily stay again. But it's not as high end as it used to be.

Rooms are okay, large but basic. However, avoid staying here if you want a quiet nights sleep! The bed was comfy but the noise level outside until 4am ruined any possible sleep and then roadworks started up right outside the hotel window at 6am. The room was quite dark with dim lighting and limited plug sockets.

Breakfast was basic. Only served a very milked scrambled type of egg. Bread was dry. Plates caused burns to myself and one other person. Staff were okay, nothing above and beyond. Parking (although stated as a self park) was a disgusting smelling underground car park for £20 a night which was not advertised when I booked. I booked a double room and was put in a twin family room. There were dirty plates, glasses and food left overs left in the corridor outside my room from previous guests for over 24hours.

We've just had 3 fantastic nights at the Majestic Hotel, Bristol. We had a really Wow view out of the floor to ceiling window in roon 1602. Location would be impossible to improve and all of the staf were very helpful. The price was good for such a city central hotel. Breakfast was really good too and I am veggie. Thank you to all of the staff x
