Hotel was in a very central location in the Byward market. Rooms were very large. The Nespresso machine was a great touch. They had parking on location, although the cost for it was higher than it should have been- next time I would probably park in several nearby lots that were 50-60% cheaper. One suggestion for improvement: they should have a lamp on the desk in the room. I'm up early, but had to open the curtain to see, which woke her up.

This hotel is brand new and this is very nice to experience for the first time. ALso the localisation in the by-market place is really useful. The only thing I can mention to upgrade the experience is to add a garde-robe in the bedroom because there's no really room enough to stock the stuff for 2 peoples. I can't imagine for a family of 4 members. Except that all was perfect!

The location of the hotel is excellent .. in the heart of downtown. There were many restaurants within walking distance as well as a convenient shopping centre a block away. The hotel has a modern vibe. The lobby is spacious with a variety of seating arrangements and game stations. We received a welcome drink upon arrival and the dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were delicious and well-portioned. The rooms were a decent size and quiet. I made use of the pool and gym. Both were clean and well kept. The gym had more equipment and was considerably larger than most hotels’ fitness centres. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was the construction nearby which posed problems for taxi pickup. I would definitely stay here again and would search out the brand in other locations.

What a great hotel!! Love everything about it! We got late checkout which was 1:00 PM. at no extra cost. As our flight was later in the afternoon, the hotel stored our luggage after checkout at no extra charge. Room lighting could be improved.

We spent 2 nights at the Moxy during Labour Day weekend. Great location , fresh and clean hotel. Staff were great and friendly. Didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant. Only a couple of things to comment from a design perspective only because I do renovation work myself and do not expect changes. 1. The dark light switches on dark wall background difficult to see. 2. the split of the 2 beds divided by restroom in between is great design however the accent lighting has 1 switch only at door for both areas. Cosmetic stuff. I rate this place 5 out of 5. Thanks Ray

I recently stayed at Moxy Ottawa and was genuinely impressed by the experience. From the moment I arrived, the hotel had a welcoming, energetic atmosphere that immediately stood out. The design, attention to detail, and overall vibe make Moxy feel very different from a traditional hotel — in the best possible way. What really made my stay memorable, however, was the level of service. The staff were friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making guests feel welcome. It is one thing for a hotel to have a great concept, but it is another for the team behind it to actually bring that concept to life. The room was comfortable, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, and I particularly appreciated the modern atmosphere and the little details throughout the property. Everything felt fresh, fun, and well put together. As someone who has stayed at different Marriott properties, I can honestly say that Moxy Ottawa left a strong impression on me. It is the kind of hotel where the personality of the brand comes through, while still maintaining the level of hospitality I expect from Marriott. I also want to recognize the team at Moxy Ottawa for creating an experience that felt personal rather than simply transactional. Great hospitality is memorable, and this stay was exactly that. I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel as I was provided a room with a very deficient toilet and no matter what they did, it did not work. This is a brand new property. They were nice and tried to be helpful but the property is lacking I checked in at 8pm or so and reported the toilet when going to bed. I had to go down to report to because I did not have a working phone. They came with a plunger and said it was fixed, but not really. Next morning I reported it, they came to fix it and said it was, but not really. Good thing I asked them to leave me the plunger. I reported it again. I left and when I came back that evening I was offered to move to a new room but it was 9:30pm the night before check out. I opted to keep using a plunger and use the lobby bathroom. I will add that while doing laundry, the washer malfunctioned and kept my money. At 2am I will say that the very helpful people helped me and refunded me at check out. Nice place, but my stay was more like staying at a brand new hostel, a very expensive one.
