From the moment we arrived the staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was really clean and had apparently just been updated. There were beach towels and chairs in the room, and plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We will definitely return!

This property was renovated by new owners and reopened in June 2026. They did a fantastic job. Bright new rooms functionally well designed. Top of the line amenities. Great friendly and helpful staff. Clearly the best place to stay on Ocracoke.

Staff, location it was a wonderful visit and we will definitely be back. What a unique place, most things walkable. The beaches 5+ for sure. The beach chairs were a welcome amenity and the room was clean.

The staff were amazing - so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. MJ was a wonderful greeter! :) The room decor is gorgeous and feels welcoming. I’m looking forward to staying there again.

Location is great, you can walk or ride a bike to all restaurants and shops around Silver Lake, Room was modern, clean and code door access was great so we didn't have to keep up with a key. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

The Silver Lake hotel was comfortable and in a great location. The sunset view was incredible but mostly I was impressed by the hard work and desire by the owner and her staff to deliver a quality product. For example, I appreciated the triple sheeting of the bedding, the welcoming attitude and the feeling that whatever I needed for a pleasant stay would and could be provided. Well done, I hope to return.

Our accommodations were in what appeared to be a new building. It was very nice. The bathroom was very functional but a little small. Excellent shower but again a little small. We would not only recommend but would definitely stay there again.

Nice resort touches added to completely updated and renovated property!! Highly recommend. Love the porch! Beach chairs and towels provided. Cooler in case you forget a little one. Loved our stay!! Will be back!!

The most amazing location, amenities and staff! The sunset double balcony on our room was perfect - a great bonus for outdoor living space! The bikes were a great amenity to run around to the shops. The Silver Lake location is simply amazing! The staff were the most helpful and genuine. Truly one of the best coastal hotels we have stayed at in a long time! Other items to note: water pressure is phenomenal, parking was plentiful, property was exceptionally clean, access to a cooler, beach towels, chairs and wagon at no charge. Can’t wait to see this property grow!!

To be honest, the only reason I wouldn’t leave a great review is to keep this place a better kept secret. This hotel is a gem. It’s a fantastic place to serve as home base while exploring the village and island. The rooms are immaculate and well thought out, with an incredibly comfortable bed and bedding (including the soft and heavy waffle throw), ice cold air conditioning and a dehumidifier for those humid Carolina days, and a great shower with high pressure. The staff was friendly and helpful in the best way. The hotel is centrally located (there may not be a better place location-wise) and they have bikes you can check out as well as beach chairs, beach coolers, and beach towels. We can’t wait to go back many times.
