Average stay

The hotel looks amazing on the pictures but in real life doesn’t quite reflect the same. The room was OK but the bathroom was very dated. Plug hole was broken but this was fixed when asked. We were also woken up at 3am to the fire alarm going off which absolutely terrified me. Didn’t eat in the restaurant to comment on the food. I thought room service was an option here (I may be wrong) but there was no information about this anywhere.

Photos online of the hotel do not accurately represent the rooms. The upgraded room I stayed in was tired and scruffy with stains on the furniture.

The room was old looking and tatty rip in the carpets we run the bath for our daughter and it was full of black mold had a shower and black mould came off the shower head told them at reception and they said they would send some to clean it when we we out but the next morning when we ran the bath it was just the same . We reported it again and was just told to but the complaint in an email

The hotel is a bit tired overall. Shower gel bottle was empty in my room and there was no plug in the sink which made shaving a bit tricky, and the heating didn't work so my room was rather cold. The bed was very comfy though.

A wedding anniversary stay

Our wedding anniversary stay, we were told about a wedding party being held when we booked in, so we were aware of potential party noise. We chose to eat in the restaurant and the food service was fast and efficient, the food served was cooked well and tasty. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly. The room was large, but the bathroom was small, the room was also not soundproof, the noises were not from the wedding party downstairs. So not a good nights sleep.

Not Great :-(

The hotel doesn't look to bad from the outside and reception area was clean and staff were friendly. However we arrived and were told that the kitchen was having some maintenance so the restaurant was shut which was disappointing. We then went to our family room which was right at the end of a long corridor, which smelt of damp and air freshners. The room set up great, which I why I chose this hotel. There was a double bed for myself and my wife and a single bed for my 12 year old. But the room felt dirty and the adjoining door (which we weren't using) looked like someone had tried break out through it, with a screwdriver. The bathroom was very tired as well, with broken tiles etc. We slept ok, despite the couple next door arguing till the early hours and then making up!!! Breakfast was poor as well, it seemed to be a microwaved full english. A really disappointing stay.
