A basic and compact hotel room but it was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. A light controlled from the bedside would have been helpful. The service at reception was very good - polite and cheerful - manned 24/7. The location was great - under a mile from the Utilita Arena and Symphony Hall. Free parking made it ideal for our stay. Whilst the standard rating system might have awarded 3 stars, for our purposes it was 4 star.

Room was clean, but very warm would need some kind of air conditioning or a better fan. It was not ideal that the lift was broken we only booked the day before we travelled and there was no acknowledgement of this beforehand my wife has arthritis and she had ro walk so many flights of stairs. A room offer on a lower floor would of helped.

Room which I stayed was clean enough but difficult to move around due to infrastructure and size (single adult). Staff were courteous and very helpful. No issues with parking. Many shops and food places nearby. Overall the stay was good.

Struggled to find it at first but it was a lovely room, enjoyed being able to use the TV. Had 2 fans which was needed. When arrived back at the hotel late at night there was no room in the car park but a member of staff moved their car for us to be able to park. Only downside which staff cannot control it is very loud, right next to pubs. Banging all night and fire alarm randomly went off at 1am which gave us a bit of a fright.

Nice large room, at reasonable cost, but a bit of a ropey area. Not sure I'd want to be wandering around there late at night. The free car park at the rear does have 24/7 security however - if you saw the area, you'd realise why!

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in The hotel does not have adequate parking. It was full so we had to park in a side street some distance away. The car park is shared with a bar It’s incredibly noisy. I was unable to sleep as the bar was so loud. Also the road outside had traffic all night and car alarms going off The room was incredibly hot (we did not stay during the heatwave). The fan provided was poor. I asked for another but this never arrived The staff were awful, one had been working there for a week and the other also said she was new. They were rude, unhelpful when it came to various issues including the parking, had zero knowledge of the area and not all sympathetic to my situation of travelling alone with a young child. On checking out one said I’d not be charged for the room. After a conversation this turned out not to the the case as I was paying via hotels.com. They also didn’t bother to take note of my issues which included some serious safety issues I got an insect bite in the room It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke Towels were stained blue and badly shrunk. The sheet on the bed had a large hole in it. Some elements of the hotel were dangerous too. The blinds were broken with trailing cords. A very large wardrobe was not attached to the wall so could easily be pulled down on someone. I saw fire extinguishers propping up doors. The bathroom was actually ok Very expensive for what it was too.

Clean and modern hotel. Lift out of order so be prepared to carry bags to third floor. Room was exactly as per photos. No ariel for TV and Internet kept dropping so couldn't watch. Plenty of parking when I arrived, but got extremely busy in the evening as shared with the lounge bar next door. Quite noisy outside, but it's a city centre. All in all a good hotel, especially for the price I paid.

On arrival, I was informed that the lift was not working and my room was on the 3rd floor. This was up a tight and steep staircase. Luckily I only had an overnight bag. On entering the room I was greeted by a pungent smell from the bathroom. It didn't dissipate during the 3 day stay. The toilet seat was broken and smaller than the toilet itself. So. Not a great start. The bathroom light switch was literally behind a wardrobe, pulled forward slightly. One of the mugs was unwashed and the kettle was kept far from any plug. As a base for sleeping, whislt in the city, it was fine, but wasn't pleasent. The staff were great though. One recut my kept every night, as he said some people had issues and he didn't want me walking 3 flights up and then back down. That's considerate! They were also helpful on providing extra tea and milk etc. Parking wasn't clearly signposted, but was easy to find after being given directions. The area feels quite rough, but it's really not and it is very convenient for the city, just a 20 minute walk Had a paid more then perhaps I'd be annoyed. I think this is an OK budget place, sort of Hostel+, but they need to sort cleanliness
