Our stay at Oasis Loft was extremely disappointing, especially after travelling for almost 24 hours.
Our taxi driver struggled to locate the apartment, and we ended up going around in circles, costing us an additional 5,000 colones. When we finally arrived, the keypad was unresponsive, and we spent 10–15 minutes trying to figure it out. Thankfully, staff from the store downstairs contacted our host, although we felt that her response was rather unhelpful given our situation. Eventually, my daughter discovered that running the back of her left hand over the keypad activated it, allowing us to get inside.
The apartment is on the top floor with no lift, so our luggage had to be carried up several flights of stairs after a very long journey.
The apartment itself was clean and well equipped, but unfortunately we did not sleep at all. The constant noise from motorbikes and cars on the nearby main road was deafening. Even the earplugs provided by the host did little to help. For an apartment in such a noisy location, proper soundproofing or triple-glazed windows are badly needed.
We also had problems with drivers finding the property because the directions provided were unclear. We eventually had to use the hotel next door as a landmark.
Thankfully, we only stayed one night. We would not stay here again and unfortunately cannot recommend this apartment.
