The room was fairly clean. A few areas I had to sweep or wipe down. Full kitchen, separate bedroom and living spaces, and laundry was very helpful. Couch was super comfortable and you could easily sleep an extra person on without unfolding the pullout.

We stayed here for a concert and we were unfamiliar with the area. But it was so convenient and lovely! 2 parking areas with 24-hr. Monitored parking. A small grocery store is downstairs and super convenient. The hotel staff were very sweet-even though everyone was stressed from a huge concert being booked in their city. Our room was amazing, and it made us want to always stay here for our trips in Detroit! We will be back!

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Houze. The room was very minimal, but quite comfortable. It was also extremely quiet - which was surprising given that I was on the second floor in the middle of downtown. A general disclaimer: The hotel is across from the main bus terminal, so there were some colorful folks hanging around on the block outside the hotel from time to time, but with other hotels and businesses nearby I, personally, never felt unsafe.

Great location, convenient kitchen if you don't want to eat out every meal, room was large, clean and bright. City-facing rooms are pretty loud, and be aware that they can't store your luggage, which is mildly inconvenient. There's also in-room washer/dryer! (though I didn't use it)
