Bien situé, dans une rue avec tous les commerces utiles, à 5 min du metro, à 15 mîn du kranerkranich. Couchage dans le canapé peu confortable, pas de services d'hotellerie et climatisation peu efficace. Mais l'amenagement sympa et pratique, la bonne insonorisation et la situation idéale pour visiter Berlin ont largement compensé ces petits défauts.

We (family of 5) had a great stay at LYV Apartments in early April 2026. The rooms are very nice, kitchen has everything you need and the host if easy to communicate with (both direct and via app). The area is nice and vibrant, with good and easy access to U-Bahn. We also appreciated the parking options in the backyard. All in all a big recommendation, and we will defintely be back!

Comfortable beds. Nicely appointed with dishes etc. Responsive virtual front desk. It was quite hot outside (90 degrees F) and the hvac system did not appear to be functional. At some point hot water broke, although they offered a small discount was not ideal for hygiene.

The property is an apartment style independent unit of older bigger units that were subdivided/converted, but are quite modern in design. No face-to-face interaction with the host and you need to be able to call and mostly interact in German language with the off-site desk agent. The agent was very friendly and once when I called and he was not available , I left a voicemail and the agent called within 15 minutes. And he solved my issues too. The location is not recommended for people who want to feel cozy and have second thoughts about dirty streets. That area has some social challenges, but does offer budget priced cafes, restaurants good shopping possibilities and might be ideal for younger people who know their way around in urban settings.

The hotel was in disarray as I believe it’s still in the process of being built: there was the constant banging of construction which lasted until at least 10pm every evening, the first day I arrived there was no water, the day I was leaving there was no hot water and there were no side tables by the bed, just two lamps on the floor so if you had water or a book you wanted to leave next to the bed they were just on the floor. The air conditioning didn’t work either. The best I can say of the hotel experience is that their support staff are very responsive and apologetic, as I had to contact them fairly often, and it’s very close and accessible to a metro stop and fun neighborhoods.

We stayed at the LYV on Karl Marx Strasse and I’d recommend it for people looking for apartment style accommodations in an area of Berlin that is pretty lively and has great access to the U-Bahn and the Ring-Bahn. There are lots of middle eastern restaurants, grocery stores, and parks nearby. The street does have a lot of street noise but when the windows are closed there is no issue. The curtains are thick, blackout style curtains. We were in a 2-bedroom unit and it was pretty spacious. The small kitchen has everything you need. Communication with the management was excellent. The building has just been completely renovated. During our stay (late May into early June 2026) they were still carpeting the common areas and renovating the top floor (5th floor) so we had some small issues during our stay that were dealt with quickly and were only temporary since the work is being finished soon. Going forward I would expect there will be no issues for guests.
