Overall the hotel and room were good. We have never stayed at a Tru before. I know it was a busy weekend with kids moving back to college and they were fully booked. It was frustrating hearing doors slamming well past midnight and we were disappointed with breakfast or lack of. If you promote 24 hour coffee then you should definitely have the pots full for breakfast. By 8am coffee was empty and buffet was slim and slowly being stocked. Plan better when you know it’s a busy weekend in CoMo.

The property was attractive, safe, easy to get to. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good, as was the coffee. I appreciated the fridge and full length mirror. The only thing missing was a microwave, but one was available in the lobby.

For the price you don’t get much. I could stay at a 4 star hotel in downtown Chicago for the price and it seemed like a plain 3 star hotel. I didn’t have many options in the area so I guess they are price gouging.

Worst hotel customer service I have ever experienced. Booked through hotels.com but they (this Tru location) said since their system wasn't operating well that they had no record of my reservation and refused to help in any way. Simply said for me to contact Hotels.com, even though I could show them the reservation on my phone (and it was clear by the parking lot they had tons of rooms available). Had to jump through a ton of hoops and threaten legal action to get my money back. Put a black mark on our whole vacation and soured us on Tru and the whole Hilton brand.

I made a reservation that day, came rolling in late and couldn’t have been happier with my interactions with the staff. My room was comfortable, there was a small fridge but I didn’t see a microwave or coffee maker — didn’t need them but wanted to mention in case others are counting on. Breakfast options were fine and area was well stocked and maintained — staff was right on it. The lobby/commons area is pretty busy visually and aurally — the front desk, breakfast, tables and chairs and work stations and foosball and loud TV all in one big open space. Not my favorite but it worked. Roller shades in the room are great but make what seemed like a lot of noise when operated. Loved the climate control options — continuous fan is a must for me when hotel is near a heavily used highway. And the room and common areas appeared to be spotlessly clean.
